How to Beat Legend Quest in Chromatic Nest
By Syrsly
This guide will explain my method to beat the hard part of the game, Chromatic Nest. Getting the achievements is easy, but beating the final boss may not be.

Step One: Prepare
Get five characters to level 54-56. Your party should consist mostly of magic users for your DPS and healer but also have one tank character with physical damage. The last dragon becomes practically immune to physical damage rather quickly, so your magic attacks will be a godsend. For your healer, I recommend the Druid for over-time healing along with bleed damage. The Bard also works well for healing and has a decent attack-all spell, but the Druid has the additional mana resupply spell for your entire party. My winning party was, sitting from left to right, Knight (tank), Warrior (tank/physical), Hunter (physical/over-time), Bard (magic/healer), Mage (magic/over-time). My Knight had as much threat as possible through his equipment while my Warrior had threat via a passive ability. All other characters were only 1 threat to avoid having them be hit often.

Stock up on as many Greater Phoenix Ups as you can buy. You may have to revive a few of the characters a few times. I also recommend getting a few attack boost potions and defense boost potions for the final battle.
Step Two: Chromatic Nest Dragons
Go to Chromatic Nest. This does not have to be accessed in "New Game +" mode for the achievement, and that mode will make the dragons even harder, so I recommend just going there with a regular mode save after beating the game's story.

Start the quest called "Legend". It should be rated at level 70. You should get your characters to level 60 or higher and make sure every character is fully equipped for a long battle.

Beat the easy dragons. Most of the dragons are easy and only do dangerous amounts of damage if you're level 52 or less. I recommend getting to level 55 or higher for the harder battles, anyway.
Step Three: Final Dragon
Strategize! Use status effects to your advantage. Utilize the Bard's attack boost spell and hit as hard as you can as soon as you can, before the dragon becomes resistant to physical damage. Then, utilize your magic attacks as much as possible and avoid healing the dragon with your physical attacks whenever the dragon has the red rings around its head. When the rings appear, you can click the shield on your physical damage characters to have then simply not do anything. The battle will not take long...
Step Four: Beat The Game
There's another battle! This one is a lot harder, too! Your mom/wife/? is mad because you let rats into the house? Unlike the dragon previously fought, this enemy actually does some damage, so be well prepared from the beginning of the battle. Thankfully, the achievements were received just for getting to this battle, so you do not necessarily have to beat this boss... but you don't really need to get the achievements, so yeah... moving on.

At the start, kill the two weak rats with an attack-all spell, like Meteor, Dissonance, or maybe Volley, to remove the extra characters from the turn roster. The remaining enemy has magic resistance but not a lot of it, so utilize your fire spell every other turn to burn with extra damage. If you have the Druid, use the Druid's bleed spell as well. Likewise, if you have the Hunter, use the Hunter's Heart Shot for bleed damage.

The enemy will dessimate your entire party if you're not prepared. I mean, every character can be hit at once, and you should have revival items and heal spells at the standby. I'm not sure if Necromancer helps with this, because I honestly never used that class.

Result: The hardest part of the game is now over! Now, you may consider the game over with... or replay it in New Game + mode, I guess.

Hey renewc! You're welcome! Glad someone finds it useful. :happy_creep: It was a very grindy game, but I enjoyed the game's humor. :steamhappy:
