We have been Greenlit!
Making 2d games with webGL & HTML5.
In Istrolid you design your own unique spaceships from a large number of parts to fit your strategy and play style. With no set units or factions you are free to create a fleet where each ship has its own balanced strengths and weaknesses, from basic fighters and bombers to hulking battleships and speedy destroyers.

Challenge your strategies and stretch your creativity, perfecting your spaceships' designs before taking them onto the proving grounds of battle. Jump straight into tense fights for territorial control where you maneuver your ships to best use their energy, range, firing arc, turn rate and firepower.

Conquer an entire galaxy in the single player campaign where you collect the parts you need to build bigger and meaner ships. Use them to defeat increasingly tougher and more complex opponents. Test the strength of your designs in multiplayer combat, fighting solo or with allies. Face custom AIs with their own fleet line-ups or even design your own AI that fights by your side.

Are you ready?

I love this game and do think it has a lot of potential for a very good RTS game. The only thing I would personally like to see changed is for there to be more strategy in the capturing and control over objectives. currently they are a very minor economic boost and only good for ending the game. Perhaps different types of objectives could be implemented to give the game more field strategy than just the best fleet. You could have an objective that when captured, acts as a small recharge station, or a range boost modifier. This would be hard to balance and implement, but would add lots more strategy to fleet positioning and controlling certain points. Again this is a fantastic game that always has a changing meta and a fun do-it yourself aspect. I hope you take this game to its limits and keep that unique creative flare many other RTS games lack.

As a new player the intimidating level of pre-existing ship designs, especially with the knowledge of more advanced players, makes the learning curve very steep... bu the campaign does a good job of bringing newer players into the fold.

I would like to see more strategic limitations as this emphasizes more versatility and focal points of strategy. With this, are there any thoughts on limiting the number of designs that can enter the battle for each team? Such as limiting the number of diverse ships in a single battle to 5 rather than allow Fleet access during the game itself?

This is a great game and it's great to see how quickly changes are being implemented. Keep up the good work!
