Texture Overhaul

The purpose of this mod is to replace old vanilla low-res textures with HD realistic & lore-friendly ones !
  • Vanilla 512x512 textures changed to brand new 1024x1024 textures
  • Vanilla 1024x1024 textures changed to brand new 2048x2048 textures
All textures are saved in correct DDS format (DXT1 for tex without alpha mask & DXT5 for tex with) then cleaned and optimized with DDSopt[www.nexusmods.com].

Textures included :
  • roads
  • grass
  • grounds
  • tree barks
  • bedrolls
  • beds
  • doors
  • wood
  • fur pelts
  • barrels
  • roofs
  • rocks
  • flora
  • blood splatters
  • blood pools
  • rain effect
  • clouds
  • horizons matching with current weather (no more color differences between horizon & sky)
  • moon
  • stars
  • replace nebula sky in some area with normal starry sky for better logic
  • smoke effect
  • improved detail map
Sound Overhaul

Sounds included :
  • UI sounds
  • fist sound
  • sheathe & draw sound for weapons
  • tavern brawl sound
  • distant thunder
  • rain sound
  • fix door sound when you leave an area

Installation

  • Create a folder named Override in "/The Witcher Enhanced Edition/Data" folder and copy/paste all my files into it.
  • If you're also using the great mod Rise of the White Wolf Enhanced Edition but want to get my new cloud textures, don't check skyboxes option during install.
  • [Optional] Copy/paste files from my ENB Preset in "The Witcher Enhanced Edition/System" folder
Recommanded mods

Flash Mod by Flash[www.nexusmods.com]
You can also use the older Texturen Mod but it's only sharpen vanilla textures with no increase in resolution and makes them more pixelated (also many textures are identical to vanilla). If you really want it, copy my files over it.
Tweaks

  • Use ingame antialiasing option (if you're set AA in your graphic drivers, shadows will not be displayed in-game)
  • You can enhance vegetation aliasing by activate transparency AA in your graphic driver (2X or 4X, 8X is useless)
  • For those who like it, V-Sync must be set to ON in graphic drivers
  • To enhance compatibility, I advice to not install Steam & game in "C:/Program Files". Also, deactivate Steam overlay.
  • If your language settings reset each time you launch the game, read this tutorial.
  • Use my ENB Preset to improve bloom & coloration. If the ENB don't launch at start, check if the game executable is not set as "Launch as administrator"

So, this is better than Texturen mod? Or should I install it, then install your mod?

While I like the better textures, door sound and alchemy sounds, I'm not a huge fan of the quest related and level up sounds, also the ENB Preset isn't my cup of tea

I would also recommend the Item stacking and Equipment slots mod to anyone playing

Is there a way to fix for the seam at Triss's neck? It really bothers me because it also appears during cutscenes.
