Riftgate is a sci-fi tactical war game about territory and control. You can play through an entire battle on your coffee break and the game map is different each time you play.

  • Tactical turn-based battles.
  • Simple mechanics - Almost no stats, numbers or complex upgrade trees: instead combat is all about careful positioning, map coverage and using the map's topology to your advantage.
  • Gain resources by building zones of control.
  • Reshape the map to your advantage.
  • Construct awesome military tech abilities to decimate your opponent's fleets.
  • Use a combination of military tactics, exploration, resource management and diplomacy to grow your resistance movement in the campaign mode.

Riftgate has been in development for 2 years. It’s currently in a beta state with core AI and gameplay functionality finished undergoing an intense production phase to ready for early access release.

We plan to have an early access version of the game released by the end of December. This version of the game will have the single battle skirmish mode. At this stage we want to hear feedback from the community with regard to the AI difficulty and balancing.

Future EA releases will add the campaign mode, daily challenge mode and lots of tweaks and balancing based on feedback.
