WolfQuest coming to Steam on March 25th!
Release date: It's released (on -- and coming to Steam on March 25th!

A wildlife simulation game that teaches players about wolf ecology.

When the game begins, you are a two-year old gray wolf born in the Northern Range of Yellowstone National Park. You learned the ways of the wolf in your birth pack. Now it's time for you to learn how to live on your own, finding food, meeting other wolves, and searching for a mate. Ultimately, your goal is to find a home and build your own family.

Your quest begins on the slopes of Amethyst Mountain and eventually takes you across the Lamar Valley to Slough Creek. There, you and your mate will establish a territory and raise a litter of pups: training them, feeding them, defending them against predators, and finally taking them on a cross-country journey to a summer home. Ultimately, your success will depend on your ability to ensure the survival of your pack.

Play the game alone or with friends in on-line multiplayer missions, which now feature the complete pup-raising mission arc. Private multiplayer games feature text and voice chat. Both private and public games have phrase chat.

This new version improves and expands upon the original game, a grant-funded project that has been downloaded by over five million players around the world since its original release in 2008. Now, for this version 2.7, we refined gameplay and graphics, added a new player account system with achievements, friends lists, and more, and completely rewrote the animal AI system. We've also added more wolf howls and over two dozen wolf customizations. And we created a mysterious new map to explore in single and multiplayer games. As always, there's also an active online community where you can discuss the game with other players and share artwork and stories about wolves. Visit to join in.

I remember playing this game years ago when I was twelve, maybe thirteen years old. I had no idea it was still in development, and I can't wait to see what new features have been added. Playing this again will be a trip down memory lane.

@EvilMonkey: It's released on If you purchase the game there, you'll get a steam key free once it's released on Steam. As kangarookiss pointed out, though, they are hoping to get the Steam version up sometime this month.

For those who don't know and don't have access to the website, here's a summary of what's going on.

The game is taking a bit longer than expected, and other projects are delaying it's transfer to Steam. Therefor, it's release has been delayed until March.

The creator said, "We've got the game mostly ready for Steam, but connecting it up with our account system is taking more time than expected. And we've now got another big client project with a deadline in two weeks, so we're going to have to put this on hold and come back to it in March. Sorry for the delay."

Last update was around Dec 23, and the owner been offline since 90 days, then on the decription say Release date: It's released!. I don't see it on the store page only on the greenlit. So I'm guessing we have to play wolfquest outside of steam instead. Kinda sad that is been almost 3 months and still haven't been release on steam yet :/
