[Park]TOD_4x8_Pier_Left-End

This is the "LEFT END" (or right end FACING the pier) and I aim to make several more pieces like a couple of nifty curved pieces or something in the coming weeks. This asset can be found in the PARKS menu and is a fully ploppable on surface asset (shore or ground). You'll notice some of the screen shots may show the asset at the angle but this rights itself when plopped on a shore. Again, maybe 8+ hours of testing different plop modes, terrain, origin points, and asset placement on the plot size in the asset editor to figure this stupid system out. :D

There are several props I've used on this asset that you should download to make this a more well rounded and good looking asset. Please see the side bar. You don't have to subscribe to these props to make this asset work but it makes it look better.

Eventually if time is on my side I'd like to convert this basic pier into more of a "industrial" style pier - maybe retexture the model with more of a industrial feel to it. Who knows at this point. Please enjoy this in your cities.


You will probably want to use the terraform mod to help flatten the areas behind the asset. There are some steep inclines on the shore and beaches that will not make this asset look good and will be a bit askew. In those cases use the terraform mod tool to help flatten and ease the terrain to work best. A good tip is to find the "sweet spot" going in and out of the water when plopping to get the pier pylons into the water but also have the platform flat.

This asset has parking and a walkway built into the back side of the asset. You can utilize these in conjunction with "daisy chaining" multiple piers together to form one long large pier. I've included a quick picture at an easy way to align them. Note that immediately after placing you might get flooding icons, this is typical. Let the game run for a while and you should see these disappear. If not, delete and replace closer to shore.
