Greenlight and Open BETA now live!
Description
This is the CONCEPT page for Legends of Callasia. Right now we're gathering feedback to prepare for our upcoming Greenlight campaign, so if you have any comments on the concept, artwork, gameplay, game description, title/logo, etc. please let us know! We're also adding people to our closed beta.

Legends of Callasia is a simultaneous turn-based single and multiplayer fantasy world conquest strategy game mixed with board game and card game mechanics and no hotseat waiting, playable on PC, Mac, iPad, and Android tablets.

The goal is to make a game that has the feel of a large, epic strategy game like Civilization, Crusader Kings 2, or Heroes of Might and Magic, but with the shorter playtime and simple controls of a game like Risk, Lux, or FTL. A game that is easy to learn, fast to play, but which offers enough choice to make it interesting to play over and over again. Every game session is a new experience!

  • Classic fantasy world conquest strategy game with simple, intuitive controls
  • Endless strategies through wide range of heroes, units, maps, and more
  • Single player campaigns: follow the war of the races across the lands
  • Turn-based multiplayer game with simultaneous plan and resolution cycle: ranked and casual play, friend finder, rankings, leaderboards, and no hotseat waiting
  • Pay once and play: no free to play, no ads, no pay to win

Legends of Callasia is a classic territory capture game with an element of team picking. The game begins by selecting a map.

Select a race and choose from a wide range of heroes.

Mix and match heroes and units with different abilities and attack types for endless strategies.

Awaken your starting hero.

Create armies with units from your chosen race and control your hero across the map.

Occupy territories to earn victory points.

Captured territories provide resources that you can use to hire more units.

Build and upgrade structures to increase the value of your lands.

Fight enemies you encounter in an auto-resolve battle.

Strategize using cards - use them to boost your armies or against your enemies.

The objective is to capture all of your opponent’s castles and rule the world.

Thanks shobalk! We're moving this to Greenlight very soon, and making the beta version available. Hope you'll join us then - all the devs are looking for multiplayer games these days.

Otherwise, love the art !!! The maps look better than the ones before. Keep up the good work team!

The logo isn't nice. The fire around it is too distracting to see the logo and it's quite plain and boring.

The texts on the trailer are kinda small -- too much negative space.

Just my opinions.

Sounds awesome! I'm so looking forward to this. Good luck guys! :steamhappy:

It's much, much simpler than Crusader Kings. The goal was to make a strategy game that didn't eat a whole weekend. Different maps take different times, but most games range from 45 min to an hour and a half or so - which is just about long enough to really get into it.

I used to play Crusader Kings. How much shorter is the playtime and how simple are the controls? Looks complicated in the screenshots.

It's actually not a card game, Cid. The game has cards that you can play to affect the action of the game, but it's a unit-based strategy game. :)

We need something more original. This doesn't catch my eye.
