Hard at Work
First off – Look & Feel
We made the game look a lot more awesome since our release on iOS.

The bottom image isn't final yet, but we're getting there.

Features and Elements
Then, we implemented a shootload (pardon the potty mouth) of new features and puzzle elements. Obviously, you're gonna have to wait until the game is released to check them all out, but we can assure you, they will melt your brains.

Performance
We spent days, if not weeks, on making the game run as smoothly as possible, even on older computers. It's not super-safe yet, but by the time the game is out, you'll be able to play it on your Commodore 64! (Not really, though. We're developers, not wizards)

Story
The backstory is coming along well. Not to promise too much, there won't be any super-fancy cutscenes with Michael-Bayxplosions or Lens Flares up the wazoo (we're neither J.J. Abrahams, nor Hideo Kojima), but there will be a backstory and some interludes every now and again for all you story-lovers out there.

That concludes our up-to-speed-bringing for today.
Be patient, friends. We're almost there.

From ChromaTec with love,
The ChromaGun Dev Team

We did it! And it's all thanks to you!
Description
Welcome to ChromaTec’s research lab! You’re here, because you’re the best of the best – not because you’re the only ones to apply for the tests. Who gave you that idea? You’re here to test our newest, state-of-the-art military-grade color-technology: The ChromaGun (patent pending)! Use it to try and solve our meticulously designed test chambers. The basic principle is as easy as applying it is complex: Exit the chambers via the exit doors. But be weary of the WorkerDroids in charge of maintaining the chambers. They’re not exactly what you and I would call “human friendly”.

ChromaGun is a first person puzzle shooter – A genre you all might remember from that one very cool game you all know I'm talking about. ChromaGun is a game about colors – you don't kill, you don't hurt (except maybe the feelings of the WorkerDroids, but they're not very nice to begin with).

Use the ChromaGun to colorize walls and WorkerDroids to progress in the chambers. Colored objects are attracted to other objects of the same color. Should you have played with colors as a kid, the concept we like to refer as “mixing” should ring a bell:
Red + Blue = Purple
Red + Yellow = Orange
Blue + Yellow = Green
Everything else makes brown. Brown objects are NOT attracted to one another and cannot be colorized further. So watch that trigger finger, Clint!

If all of this sounds like your brain can handle it, congratulations! You’re the perfect candidate for our test chambers! In that context, welcome and good luck!

We are an indie game dev studio from Nuremberg, Germany with 8 employees. Up until now, we've focused mostly on iPhone and Android apps with several Million downloads per year. The development of ChromaGun began during a game jam called "Ludum Dare" and we went on improving the initial game ever since. We released it for iOS and were blown away by the feedback we received, so we decided to go full-on – and now we're here and you're reading this. Go, you!
We'd love to start building games for Steam – and you can help us do so!
If you have any feedback or ideas for ChromaGun, please do let us know!

Jillian Werner at Gamezebo.com reviewed the very first version of ChromaGun for iOS. Read the full article: http://www.gamezebo.com/2015/07/16/chromagun-part-portal-part-preschool-test-prep-fun/

There’s a great mixture of careful puzzle solving and hectic danger-avoiding here, but with enough leniency to prevent frustration [...] so there’s basically no reason not to give ChromaGun a try. We’re glados we did.

ChromaGun was also featured in German tech magazine c't from Heise. The online article can be found here: http://www.heise.de/video/artikel/c-t-zockt-Episode-67-ChromaGun-Monster-Gravity-2790738.html
