Description
This mod adds Denmark led by Valdemar II to Sid Meier's Civilization V.



Installation

Brave New World is required.

Steam

1) Select Subscribe above
2) Start up Sid Meier's Civilization V
3) Enter the Mods submenu
4) Enable the mod by pressing the circle to the right of this mod's name
5) Click next and start a game

Direct

In the past I have either provided a direct download option through Dropbox or Drive, or recommended using SteamWorkshopDownloader[steamworkshopdownloader.com]. However, the former has the disadvantage that it requires me to keep the direct download version of the mod up-to-date, which is unnecessarily inconvenient, and the latter is unstable and often not functioning. Thus if you need to download this mod directly, let me know and I will provide a link.

What just happened? I clicked the Valdemar II mod 'update' , and it shows the mod being updated with the above info for Frederick VII of Denmark.

Updated (putting this here since the changelog is working apparently):
- JFDLC support: UB change: Additionally, it provides +2 Faith per turn and a one-time +2 Piety for enemy Units killed nearby. So UB with JFDLC also provides Piety.
- Art: Slightly enlarged the alpha icon.
- Decisions: Changed Decisions text to JFD’s formatting.
- Decisions: Dropped the Missionary spawn of the Castrum Danorum Decision.
- Decisions: Castrum Danorum decision now costs Captain resources instead of Magistrates with JFDLC.
- Decisions: Tweaked costs and requirements and generally updated the code of decisions.
- Misc: Removed internal support for JFD’s TopPanel thing.
- Misc: Text: Added 10 more cities - bc reasons.
- Events: Disabled Events and added to DMS’ Events mod instead. They can easily be reactivated in the UserSettings file if one wishes to stick with Sukritact’s Events.

You are both right.
The word knight, from Old English cniht ("boy" or "servant"),is a cognate of the German word Knecht ("servant, bondsman").This meaning, of unknown origin, is common among West Germanic languages (cf: Old Frisian kniucht, Dutch knecht, Danish knægt, Swedish knekt, Norwegian knekt, Middle High German kneht, all meaning "boy, youth, lad", as well as German Knecht "servant, bondsman, vassal"). du burde nok også ændre navnet på Knægt til det mere korrekte Ridder. Knægt er en ung dreng/teenager :P

We know it wasn't a plague Struensee was dealing with in 1769, it was actually a break-out of smallpox, but we liked the sound of the word Plague Exterminator better than Field Doctor or Disease Extinguisher.

By the way, how is the Ragusa civ coming along?!? ...

Here's a possible concept for a Struensee led Danish Civ, spun by my son and me:

UA: Kings' Right Hand - +15% faster diplo ability with regards to CS's, but lose influence at a 10% faster rate. 50% chance of getting a 50% empire wide 30 turns production increase, if acting rudely (bullying, demanding tribute, declaring war etc.) towards a CS.

UU: Plague Exterminator (18 combat strength), available at Theology - have the ability to 50% heal two units within two tiles range.

UB: Medicine House, available at Engineering - replaces the Aqueduct. Keeps the Aqueduct ability, except carrying food over by 55%. Additionally provides the city in which it is build with +2 food and +1 production.

Alternative UU: The Kings' Guard (25 combat strength), available at Steel - +15% combat strength against land units. If a Kings' Guard is gifted to a CS, gain 30 influence points. Like the Longswordman it replaces, a source of iron is needed to be able to construct the unit.

Btw, I've decided to do a Struensee(+Christian VII) led Denmark civ. If you have any ideas, I'd be glad to hear them.
