Demetrios Demo now available on Steam!
Release date: Early 2016
Point and Click adventure video game.
Cynical humor, handcrafted HD art in comic book / Disney style!

Demetrios is a fresh take on the classic "Point & Click" adventure games, adding a touch of cynical humor to the characters' motivations.

It is mainly inspired by the Broken Sword and Runaway series, with a little pinch of Discworld, Ace Attorney, Gabriel Knight, Myst and Hotel Dusk.

The game puts you in the shoes of Bjorn Thonen, an antique seller being robbed one night after coming back home drunk. Doing his own investigation with the help of Sandra, his next-door neighbor, he ends up involved in a mysterious and murky affair. But these two unlikely heroes may be able to surpass themselves and discover ancient secrets!

Featuring Full HD colorful backgrounds and animated characters similar to visual novels, the game offers varied situations and puzzles, for beginners and experts alike, with a highly contextual level of interactivity.
Try different items combinations, the results might surprise you!

  • Planned release : Early 2016

  • Platforms : Windows / Mac / Linux

  • Languages : English, French (possibly Spanish and German : see the Kickstarter stretch goals!)

  • Development progress : Demetrios is currently about 60% complete.

In the current build, 4 chapters out of 6 are already fully playable. More info and a planning are available on the Kickstarter page!

  • Hand drawn, 1080P graphics

  • High level of interactivity, very contextual - the characters react to your (stupid) actions!

  • Travel through the world : from France to Germany and a mysterious African country

  • Mini-games well integrated into the story.
Remember the "Gold Saucer" from Final Fantasy 7? :)

  • Funny "Game overs" are possible if you mess up.
Don't worry, you can try again right away!

  • Collect well-hidden cookies for optional in-game help to solve puzzles!

  • Gamepad compatibility, for playing on a TV screen!

  • Full-length adventure : 8 to 12 hours of gameplay on a first run, full of humor, danger and twists!

No episodic or in-game fees : for the price you'll get the whole adventure, with a big ending to the story!

Wait! The game isn't fully developed yet. How do you know it will take that long to finish it?

Simple : this game is actually a remake of an unreleased project that I developed 15 years ago. The game was complete, but my studies and then my job prevented me from releasing it.

The original version took more than 5 hours to complete on a first run, and had a very low amount of interactivity - something that is fixed in this new version, as well as tons of additions!

Play the whole Chapter 1 (out of 6), for about 2 hours of gameplay!

Get the demo HERE : (Windows, Mac, Linux)

Two versions available :

The demo can be played in English and French.

If you're stuck, don't forget to find hidden cookies in the rooms and eat'em to get clues :)

Bjorn, please stop your cynism...

Norsware => Thank you! :) The HTML5 demo has loading times, not the downloadable version. (the released game will only be downloadable anyway)
