The Game

The Omega Imperative is a game that we are developing with the golden age of games in mind. We grew up playing Nintendo, Super Nintendo, and Sega Genesis as kids and wanted to really capture that old-school feeling.

The game is a blend of top-down adventure and space shoot-em-up games. One of the most prominent features is that abilities obtained in one game mode carry over to the other, offering a dual purpose for every new upgrade. Using this as our basic model we began working on interesting mechanics that would appeal to a more modern audience, taking notes from more recent titles.

The Features

6 top down adventure areas with upgrades and secrets to find in the Omega Facility
5 action packed vertical shooter levels to fight through with the Omega Drone
Over 20 enemy types in both game modes to test your skills, including epic boss fights
Combine the 5 Fusion Cores for 15 unique abilities to aid in fighting off the alien invasion
All abilities and upgrades are usable in both the Facility and Drone levels
Original retro soundtrack and pixel art will hit you right in the nostalgia feels.
