Early Access Release Draws Near - External Testers Wanted
Demo update is now live!
Release date: 2016
Hello there, dear Steam Community! We are Brimstone and we are proud to present Shadow Corps.

Shadow Corps is a turn-based tactics game where you control a small squad of elite troopers fighting a variety of space mercenaries, criminals or whoever else happens to be threatening the galactic peace this time.

We've put together a demo build of the game and we are distributing it totally DRM-free. You can download and share them with your friends at your will. Enjoy!

» Windows 32-bit[] (MD5: 7F8E755C8ADEC45C9AC57C70A677F13E)
» Windows 64-bit[] (MD5: 59D96FAF279CDDE5BFF257D38B2867DA)
» Linux Universal[] (MD5: 9FF69BD416991104399FDC34BD8F10A4)
» Mac OS X Universal[] (MD5: F3B9964062FEE9F6F18FE543094A8E5C)

If those weird MD5 number thingies mean nothing to you, don't let it stop you from downloading the demo. They simply make it possible for anyone to verify that they are getting a legitimate and uncorrupted file, just in case that's something they're into.

Now that most of the essential core mechanics are in place, we feel it’s time to take the next step and let you guys try it. It can be a bit rough still but that’s exactly why we are here, to improve the game with your feedback and support.

Our current alpha version features fully functional combat mechanics, quite a few maps and basic trooper leveling. We’re actively working on the game, so check out some of our planned features and improvements below. Your feedback and ideas mean a lot to us, so don’t be afraid to get in touch!

As a small indie studio our resources are quite limited and we are now aiming to reach Steam Early Access to help us finish the game.

» New user interface
Soon we’ll be able to say goodbye to the old chunky menu and combat UI with the new interface design. Oh, it's going to be shiny alright!

We are also working on streamlining the flow of the game in order to get rid of any redundant menus and screens. Basically packaging everything neater.

» Squad system redesign and healing
We are redesigning the trooper management to make the squad building feel tighter. We are also going to introduce healing for wounded troopers. More info on these soon!

» More content and mission types
More maps and map objectives! What you see in the demo is only a taste and we’re constantly building new content to be released with the upcoming updates.

» Awesome effects and better feedback
We're working on improving our particle effects to make the combat much more rewarding!

» Game balancing
This is a bit of a biggie and we need your help with it. There are many interwoven attributes and values that need tweaking for the game to "feel right", so we'd like to encourage you to become an active member of the community by fearlessly posting your feedback, bug reports and thoughts about the game right here on Steam.

We love talking to you guys and we take your feedback very seriously. By working closely with you, the players, we believe Shadow Corps will evolve and improve over time into something truly special we can all be proud of. This will not happen overnight, so please be patient!

If you like what you see, be sure to give us the proverbial thumb up! We can’t wait to hear your feedback!

I found your game two years ago (could that really be?) at steam greenlight and as i was able to play your demo i fall in love with it.

So i hope you will finish your precious little tactic game, cant wait to buy it at steam because games like this are mostly underratet or bad executet but this gem could be differend.

So at last i am sure you have more fans of your game as you might guess if u compare your facebook and twitter followers.

Go on people at Brimstone, your demo looks, feels and plays very well so please do not stop your work on this title.

Greetings from one of your fans from germany.

Realities of small business and game development, I'm afraid. Children needs feeding, bills need paying and so forth. In any case, we've still been making progress and are preparing to release the first Early Access version soon-ish. Everything after that is kind of up to the reception we get, so we rather take the time and get this right than rush into battle unprepared.

Thanks for remembering us, though ;)

What ever happened to this game?

We are still working on getting the new UI fully implemented and to finish up both Trooper Class Tiers and the new mission types and maps. It's hard to give estimates for the missions and maps but the UI update will be finished this or next week.

There won't be a new demo update for Early Access release though. The demo will be updated later as we go forward with the full version.

Enjoyed the demo. Looking forward to more missions.
See you in Early access.

The demo has now been updated! Check the descriptions tab for the new download links. Our main goal now is to get the game into Early Access and on the Steam Store. The first priority is the new UI, preview screenshots of which can be found on imgur here [].

Just a quick heads up here as well. I've got all the big issues fixed for the new demo build. It'll have to be tested more and I might apply more polish here and there. I'm guessing that the demo can be updated next week.

Hi everyone, and my sincere apologies for the lack of communication. I am the programmer of Shadow Corps and I just wrote a lengthy status update announcement on our situation. The game is definitely not dead even though we failed to keep our online presence after you guys greenlit us. Please keep checking in for progress and status updates as we make a push for first updating the demo and subsequently the Early Access release. I will make sure the communications stay active this time.

Yeah. Those Tax Related Paperworks have taken a few months :P And no news is a little... Dis heartening. I don't even know if this is alive anymore.

Need more updates*** The devs took a long time to update from news in summer 2014 with a few twitter and web site updates thru spring 2015 to the point of greenlight and releasing this first demo.
Devs!!!! Put out some updates once in a while to let fans know it's still going.
