Dark Rituals and Blood Sacrifice on Gamasutra
After watching Den vänstra handens stig for a few minutes, and then letting that experience settle, what grabbed me was the AI’s struggle. The AI would persevere, trying and failing to reach its goals, sometimes for hours on end. All it took to make all that hard work futile was one person making them give up. The player’s exchange for the AI’s sacrifice was tiny by comparison, but still meaningful – they had to give up a bit of their humanity.

For me, Den vänstra handens stig is about struggling – struggling with massive, seemingly impossible goals and struggling in the face of negativity from faceless, almost inhuman internet hate mongers. It’s a game about bullying and depression in an era where we’re constantly exposed to things that want nothing more than to force us to fail.

Svenska:

Played this game at Pax South. Lured me in almost instantly with its atmosphere and general weirdness. Can't wait to see the finished product!

I would most definitely give this game a go. Kids are so negative these days about the types of games that come out. if they cant run around and shoot things and call in air strikes then its simply "not a good game" I find it kind of sad that most people don't have opinions of their own anymore. You've peaked my interest with this creation James. Would love to see what art you've created.

This is not a game but a film. No.

Ok, this is art, not a game. I appreciate the idea of morals batteling the curiosity of knowing, but this is simply a no-gameplay, one trick pony. Put it in a gallery.

Why would you do this to my eyes and ears?
At least put a seizure warning before the trailer starts.
FloatyPoint Aug 15, 2015 @ 7:19am
Why did you use that distortion and loud music for the trailer? I saw the game in person at RTX and it was almost calming watching the AI struggle, and the concept of the controller was unique and interesting.

You had some GREAT ideas but your game is being portrayed online as a platformer with harsh and painful music/visuals.

I hope the greenlight goes well for you but please consider an english video explaining the concept to viewers as well as you explained it to me in person:)
