Intro
Cosmetics in Unturned are special clothing items that are stored in an inventory tied to your steam account. Many of these can be traded to other players and sold on the community market. Any clothing item can be added to this inventory, but first it has to be accepted through voting in the curated workshop. Accepted items will be credited to their creator, and if sold they will receive a percentage of the revenue.
General
This guide assumes that you have seen how to create items for Unturned. Cosmetic items have all of the same data/objects as normal clothing items, although once integrated officially they will not be equippable and therefore no animations/sounds are needed. The item guide can be found: Here

When uploading cosmetics to the workshop please provide the source files used in Unity alongside your bundle and data files. This allows me to add any extra needed assets if you prepared the minimum visuals needed for the item, or fix small issues.

Before the cosmetic items you upload to the curated workshop appear you will need to provide your payment information so that Valve can give you your revenue share, and agree to a revenue split (between you and any team members) in your workshop configuration.

Shirts/pants in a set will be added to the uncommon drops list, standalone shirts or pants will be part of the common drops list and mesh items will go in mystery boxes. Promotional items can be sold directly, distributed with product codes or given to owners of a specific game, this is up to you.
Rules
To help keep the game's art style consistent there do have to be some rules regarding cosmetic items seeing as these will be directly integrated into the game:
  1. Armor and storage do not apply to cosmetic items. They are worn over top of in-game clothing, and can have their visibility toggled on/off at any time by the user. This means you can create awesome looking armor sets, but do not advertise it as providing any protection.
  2. Flat forest/snow/desert/urban camouflage is reserved for in-game items like the ghillie suit. You are, however, allowed to incorporate patterned camouflage into your cosmetics.
  3. Items that could be found in-game should not be cosmetic. For example construction vests, jeans or a firefighter uniform are common real world items that are found in Unturned, whereas cosmetics are intended for things like a pirate outfit or an astronaut suit. For the most part if an item is super cool then it is probably okay as a cosmetic.
  4. Corners of models should not be beveled. Most objects should follow the ninety degree edges, but cylinders can have six, eight or twelve sides depending on the size.
  5. Dark colors should not go below (30, 30, 30). Anything much darker than that looks bad.
  6. Edges of clothing should have a slightly darker border one pixel wide. If you wear one of the official in-game items you can see, for example, that the cuffs and waist of shirts have these.
  7. Only use trademarks/copyright/etc that belong to you.
More rules may be added in the future.

So right now when I go into a game my cosmetics are not working. I also can't toggle them on and off they are always off. I tried re-equipping them multiple times and that did not fix it. Someone please help. Thanks!
