Codename Cherise - The Galaxy Case

Description
Dive headfirst into the neon drown streets of Tokyo.
In Codename Cherise: The Galaxy Case you will assume the role of Cherise.
Cherise is a gun for hire. The long range expert that is as silent as she is deadly finds herself in a conspiracy that threatens to bring the city of Tokyo to its knees.
When the extravagant holonet star Miss Galaxy approaches her with a job that couldn't possibly go wrong she has no choice but to accept. The job soon goes south and the guaranteed payday becomes a personal nightmare. After a glance at the web of deceit she has no choice but to fight for her freedom.
With reluctant allies she faces off against determined villains that won't settle for anything less than complete victory.

Features:

A story driven campaign, serving as a prequel to the first Codename Cherise novel.
While you will often have the chance to pick your responses and impact the world around you, this mod is first and foremost a linear story driven experience.

Meet interesting personalities that will influence your perspective
From the mysterious Cherise to the excessive Miss Galaxy, every major character has a story to tell and they'll certainly try to tell it.

Experience the high tech nightlife in downtown district Kychima or get into trouble with the local gangs occupying the warehouses in the varied Inago District.

See the story come to life.
Every major event will extract responses from allies and foes alike and even the news will start reporting on the silent battles being waged on the streets.

Notes:

Codename Cherise: The Galaxy Case is my first Shadowrun mod.
I've developed this as I learned so some scenes will perhaps come across more refined than others despite the care that went into each and every one scene.

I'm telling a story first and foremost, so don't expect insanely hard tactical combat situations.
The mod is best played on normal difficulty for that reason.
Questions? In the FAQ I will try to answer them.

Have anything unanswered? Let me know so I can add it!

Special thanks to:

I'd like to say thank you to Harebrained Schemes for making these games and introducing me to the magnificent world of Shadowrun and an amazing community. I'm eager to continue working on more modifications and stories in the future that are fully Shadowrun based.

And I'd like to thank Mimi and Tanja for their support and inspiration. Without Mimi there would never have been a Miss Galaxy. Each time we talked she turned out to be a magnificent inspiration source for Miss Galaxy. Ranging from lines about sushi to a harsh opinion, she helped form an unforgettable character. Without Tanja a lot of the scenes in this mod would never have existed. She supported me, made a lot of varied maps herself and was my voice of logic when I drowned myself too deep in the world of Shadowrun. With love and care she created entire city blocks and made sure there was a little sun to be found in the world of 'Shadow'run.
Thank you both, I would not have been able to do this without the two of you.

This was a lot of fun! Short, but well done. I hope to see more, perhaps with Cherise and Galaxy again.

Thanks for all the kind words guys, this is like a dopamine hit that returns every few months. I am working on something, but nothing to report yet!

I'm with Dave on this one, you have an incredible talent for this and story telling, and designing really engaging characters and set pieces in the game. It would be a shame to not see more from you in these Shadowrun games. You shouldn't have to wait for a new one that seems unlikely to be coming any time soon.

I'd certainly love to see more from Cherise, Miss Galaxy and the crew. The characters you've created for these stories are fantastic.

Do it... You've got a knack for the story telling, and your warehouse floor/catwalk fight in this was epic. Really enjoyed your project, and often recommend it when I get asked about quality UGCs.

Would love to see something new come out from ya. If you do decide to build something, reach out. I've got an editor discord setup for project support. Would love to see another project taking shape.

Thank you so much Subspicion! Made my day! I will certainly return to developing SOMETHING somewhere. Currently focussed on making Dungeons and Dragons books (in dutch, it's a curse) but we have plans to make those English some day and yes, I will return to Shadowrun if there's a new game and editor!

Or maybe sooner if the urge hits... ;)

For a first UGC this is crazy high quality. I enjoyed it from start of finish. I really enjoy good linear story focused content and this was great, would love to see more with these characters. Maybe actually adapt the novel itself into a UGC.

If you are planning on making more content though i will be highly interested. Especially if it's as engaging and interesting as this one was :)

Really want to find the novel now but seems it;s only available in Dutch currently so sadge.

@Wrench In The Plan I appreciate those words! Glad you had fun, which was my end goal! I will for sure get back into making these stories if we ever get a new game and editor.

Just finished this mod. While not perfect, I enjoyed it all the same. The sniper segment early on was a particularly standout moment. Whether or not you intend to wait for another Shadowrun game (as likely or unlikely as that may be), or something else, I like what you've made here.
