Great guide +1 up,

I have a question though installing the server was easy... Is there a better way to update mods that run on the server I run?

I could copy the mods after they download but I don't realy feel like doing that every time a mod updates as the server is on a difforent desktop, and I have to move the files via dropbox...

Any help would be gate thanks.

Try creating a virtual machine. The virtual machine will have its own IP address which you will need to allow for, but your computer will be able to join via the client. Try VMWare or HyperV.

Having an interesting issue myself. Hosting a server on my gaming rig. It works great, my friends can connect both inside and outside my network with almost no lag.
However, I myself can't join the my server from the client on the same computer as the server. I can see the server under LAN but get a timeout issue right after entering the server password.
I've searched for solutions and the best I found was switching the server list from unofficial to my survivor, no joy. Hoping someone here has had this issue and a possible solution.

Unreal has never needed TCP on 7777 so you can run that just on UDP forwarding. I currently only forward 7777 on UDP only and people can connect daily. Just a More You Know *sparkle* comment.
