In all seriousness though this mod was intended as a joke but people seemed to get behind it. Valve did drop the ball on this one. Which ever way you spin it the intention they had was good but the execution was terrible. Hopefully now they'll go back to the drawing board and come up with something better. <3

Paid mods are a mixed bag. It encourages people to create bigger, better, more advanced mods (because what better motivator is there than cold hard cash?) but on the other hand we all know Bethesda or good ol' Gabe will want a piece of the action (royalties or some crap) which will pretty much destroy the Workshop. Why? Because then your not really paying the modder your paying the company, which is a DLC. Its a very slippery slope. Paying the creator of the game for extra content is a DLC. Paying a third-party creator for extra content is supporting a modder. And if i heard correctly like 65% of any paid mods profits was sent to Bethesda or Steam, so essentially they'd be turning the Workshop into a DLC store that neither Bethesda nor Steam needs to put any new effort into since there taking in the profits from other peoples work.

Remember when i said paid mods were a mixed bag? Yeah not really. Its like a piece of glitter on a beach kind of mixed.
