Set in a brutal, war-torn zombie apocalypse, BreakingPoint is an open-world survival experience built around faction conflicts, player choices, and constant danger. Fortify haven bases, create hidden loot stashes, align with factions, join server events, or face the world alone using a deep system of scoring, perks, and drawbacks that defines your path to survival.

• Full unique scoring and progress leveling system.
  
• Faction class system with several unique, playable factions.
  
• Each faction has unique perks and drawbacks. Some factions are friendly to others, some not so much. Get rewards for helping allies and defeating rivals. Lose progress by being a traitor to friendly factions or helping rivals.
  
• Basebuilding/baseraiding with a full construction system for securing bases (Havens).
  
• Store supplies, fuel and loot, cook and more in your Haven.
  
• Get geared fast with created loot stashes that you can build and hide in the world.
  
• A large range of modern and historic, realistic weapons with customized ammunition, including tranquilizer, subsonic and various other types.
  
• Zombies that react to visual and audio environmental movements/sounds. Zombie movement style is grounded, decayed, and semi-realistic to rotten zombies. No running, no weird movements. Just shambling, loose pusture.
  
• Dynamic loot systems that keep players guessing and exploring for supplies.
  
• Super crates provide potential top tier surprises.
  
• Full custom medical systems with bleeding, surgery options and more.
  
• Find and tame a pet dog that will travel with you, help you hunt for animals and alert you to enemy players.
  
• Hunt and gut animals and build a campfire to prepare and cook the food or boil water.
  
• A full list of custom gear made just for BreakingPoint.
  
• Persistent vehicles that can be upgraded/repaired with a toolbox.
  
• Server events such as helicrashes and care package drops.
  
• Take enemies hostage. Gut them alive or feed them tainted zombie meat.
  
• A large range of compatible maps, included with the mod.

The Arma 3 version of the mod began development in August 2013. Official servers closed in 2017. BreakingPoint can still be played with community hosted servers! This mod cannot be hosted locally or LAN. It requires a server to work. See the source code link below for instructions for how to host a server.

SERVER OWNERS NOTE:

Several maps have been moved to their own steam workshop page and out of the mod. Links are below. To host BreakingPoint on these maps you will need to subscribe to the map you want below and make sure to load this file on your server. Also add the @modname to your start.bat on your server and set the proper mission file in your server.cfg.
