First update! :)
Time for our first project update! :)

There are three topics which we would like to mention in this first update.

First of all, many of you have noticed in the comments that Rondo Adventure looks like a mobile port and its place is on mobile devices.

Rondo Adventure has been released for Android and iOS! The game is doing quite well and we thought that it would be cool to have it on STEAM as well :)

Which brings us to the second matter...

The desktop version will be not a “no effort port”! This has to be clear. Yes, the gameplay/characters/music will be almost the same, but:

- the aspect ratio will be adjusted to big screens
- all the levels will be made from scratch for the desktop version!

In the meantime, you can check the mobile version for Android and iOS.

Third thing – we will keep deleting comments which contain profanities.

You don't like the game? Vote against it and leave a constructive comment, or don't vote at all. You want to relieve frustration? Go punch a wall.

And last but not least – we have added a short video from a “work in progress” desktop version to prove that we are working on the desktop version. Enjoy :)

Description


Rondo Adventure is a puzzle game which debuted originally on mobile platforms. The main features are cartoon styled graphics, a pleasant soundtrack and its surprisingly tricky gameplay.

This one won't be a "no effort port" from mobile devices to desktop! The gameplay principle will stay almost the same, but ALL the levels will be made from scratch and the aspect ratio will be adjusted to big screens.

The story is simple. The Bad Jelly has kidnapped the cute Jelly Princess under the ground of the world of Rondo. You need to help Ron the Green Jelly to get his pink mistress back. That's it! There is nothing more to tell about the storyline. Why? Because Rondo Adventure is all about the gameplay!



The concept is quite simple – the Green Jelly has to be guided through the levels to the exit. To do so, the player has to cut tunnels in the ground and use good old gravity. Also, he has to collect stars on his way. Sounds simple enough? It does... But it isn't :P

The levels contain many different obstacles which make the chase after the kidnapped Princess not an easy task. Some of them are just static elements, the other are moving objects like trap-doors or cogwheels. And bubbles. There's a lot of bubbles too.

Things get even trickier when there are multiple Jellies involved... And some of them explode!

Also, you have to control the rush of your Jellies. A longer tunnel = a longer fall = a bigger rush. Sometimes you need the rush to jump over an obstacle and sometimes you need to go slow to avoid being catapulted out of the level.

Logic and precision – that's the key here!
