Introduction:
Hey guys my name is Lewis. I play csgo as a hobby and have begun to understand the game and realize many of the cool stratergies and smokes included into this game.
What I have decided to do is to create a guide for those people that wish to enchance their individual skill level and understanding of the game.
I am going to be focusing on the main map "Dust 2"
I will show you some cool spots to hold from, some good CT smokes and some main strats for CT.

Hope this guide proves useful to you all and I hope you will use this into your gameplay and become even better players!
And feedback would be awesome!

If you like this guide, and it was helpful say down in the comments and also say if you want me to make another one for a different map or for the T side.
Game start:
Okay firstly, on the pistol round your going to either buy a Five-Seven or armor.
Your going to want to buy as much as you can with your starting money.
Depending on where your going depends on the strat used.
You can then go to the correct section on this guide.
A Site Holds:
Right well to start when your on site your going to want to rely on your team mate on long if your going to hold this angle: (Yellow line indicates the enemys head)

When holding that angle your going to wait until the middle player calls short and then smoke off short. If you hear them coming nade short and then just hold. When they rush they wont be on guard and will not expect you to be holding that angle. And you should be able to get 2-3 frags really easily. This will then by time for your team mates to rotate and then easily hold off the site and win the round.

============================================================================

An alternative way to hold A site is hold from ramp. This means that when they push onto short you can just gun them down easily this will also provide sufficient time to rotate and then again win the round. A good thing about this position is that you don't have to rely as much on the player on long as much.
A Short Holds:
To start of this section the short holds would generally need you to get one of your friends or team mates to boost you up to short:

This will make it so that you can get onto short really quick and then suprise the T that is going to be at palm (Top of short/mid) this should then lead to an early frag if not some very good information for your team to re-postition and then easily hold of sites.

============================================================================

If you're holding short with an AWP then my favourite position is on these white boxes:

This is a good position to hold with an AWP because you can see when they are coming, it will suprise them and also you should be able to get some damage done, information and a possible 1-2 frags depeding on your reaction times.
A Long Holds:
For a long there is 3 possible possitons that I will show you:

1.) On the very corner of long, this will allow you to easily back off and pick up 1-2 frags if not more if you're good with your headshots. This position however is very expected and often prefired / preaimed. Therefore the chances of dieing are equal to your chances of fragging. This is exeptionally good on pistol rounds and if you have an AWP.

2.)In pit, I don't often hold this angle, but many others do. This angle can be strong but can also lead to you instantaneously dieing as it is expected. However there is a high chance you can get 2-3 frags from this position. And also alot of info for your team mates.

3.)Finally behind the blue container, this spot is rarely used so not many expect it and wont check there. This can often lead to lots of frags (if you let them run past). If not you will 100% get 1 frag and also alot of vital info because your death cam can see the whole of long.
Mid Holds:
For the mid holds most people will be using an AWP, due to the recent update the AWP is now nearly a useless weapon for CT peaks, although if you're fast enough then peaking can become possible. This can lead to an early pick, or some vital info, when you have peaked middle if you're going to want to fall back and hold mid doors / short. This can get 2-3 frags and if you miss shots it can get info for your team mates and allow them to re-position.
B Site Holds:
On B Site, there are multipul holds. I will show them all in this section.
1.) B Window, window is a good spot to hold becuase you can get 1-3 frags, you can get vital info and you can see the whole site from window. You can back off easily and play for the retake, however this spot is dangerous because it has some off textures which can block you on exit also the T's generally expect it.

============================================================================

2.) The second spot is what I like to call "B Ninja" This is because no one expects it so they won't check there, so you can get upto 4 frags after you get 2-3 they will notice you are there and will kill you so you have to be acurate and fast.
This spot usually only works once so use it once and wait like 4 rounds and use it again. You need to keep this spot hidden as much as you can so you can use it as much as you want throughout the game.

============================================================================
3.) The thrid spot is called double box or stack or whatever you like to call it, this spot is really easy to get to from window so you can get set up straight away, you just need to jump from window onto the edge of the bottom box. This allows you to see the whole site and the main choke point. Tunels. This spot is very unexpected and they enemies can only see a small fraction of your head whereas you can see the whole enemy body. This can give good rotation time, and can get you a few quick and easy frags. After you get frags your going to want to re-smoke tunels and play for the retake with your rotated team mates.

============================================================================
4.) The fourth spot is car, this spot is one of the most common spots on B Site therefore this spot is really risky to hold because you will be expected and pre-aimed, however if you can crossfire with a premade then it can be very rewarding. This makes it so the T's are split into 2 halfs and they will be in the middle of your crossfire. Personally I don't ever hold car unless on T after plant. But on CT I never hold car as It is very risky and other spots are much more effective.
==========================================================================
5.) This spot is called back of site or bos for short, most people hold here with AWP's, or Auto Snipers, this can be a pain to deal with when rushing tunels, becuase they will just nade and gun you down as you enter B site. This spot however leaves your head open so anyone with good aim will be able to instantly take you down. Also its reliant on your team mate and mid player holding super good because if they die then you get pinned in at the back of the site. Personally I don't use this spot much as it can kill you instantly and also I quite predictable.
==========================================================================
6.) Finally the BigBox hold. This hold can be extremely effective especially on eco rounds. You can see most of tunels. And it protects you from nades. This can often lead to 1-3 frags. Another good point about this position is that you can easily back off to bos or window ----> doors. Personally I don't use this much as I prefer to play much more passive and either kill them from unexpected positions or play for retakes.
Useful Smokes:
In this section I will show you some of the useful smokes you can use for CT Defence.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1.) Long barrel (1 Way Smoke!)
This smoke is a easy smoke to set up and with a bit of practice it can be done really fast, and on your way to long. This smoke is very effective as it blocks out the T's vision partially and you can see them with not breaking a sweat.

============================================================================
2.) Middle cross smoke, one of the easiest smokes, and also very good, it leaves no gap so T AWP's can't see you and you can then safely cross to B giving the T's no info on how many are at B simply ny running through the smoke.

============================================================================
3.) Fast B tunels smoke, This smoke is really easy to set up and you can do it really fast on your way to B. It prevents any rush from happening at B, gives you and your team mate time to set up your positions.

Useful Flashbangs:
This sections will show you 3 useful flashbangs, 1 for Mid, 1 for B, 1 for A, mainly for retakes but the mid one enables you to peak the opposing AWPer with ease.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1.) CT Ramp flash, this flash is extremely easy to do and you can do it when entering the site for a retake, it flashes all of site anyone holding ramp and people on goose. Which allows team mates from long and short to push and get easy frags. All you have to do is run and throw!

============================================================================
2.) T AWP Flash, This will pop over the mid doors wall and then flashes the T AWPer's which then allows you to peak out and get a quick frag without taking damage. This can lead to winning a round because less people rushing is easier to hold. However this flash has to be done correctly otherwise the T's won't be fully flashed. All you have to do is run and throw!

============================================================================
3.) Finally B Ramp flash, this flashbang flashes the whole of b site, it is fairly tricky to aim but can be really effective when retaking B site, it flashes car, platform, and doors also anyone hanging around near tunels, this can allow you and your team mates to quickly enter B Site and retake. All you have to do is run and throw!

I dont know why is the author getting hate, if you dont learn the basic spots you are not going to get better and all the people who prefires and nades those spots have to acknowledge about the spots in the first place. This guide provides the basic steps you need to know in order to get better at csgo, with that say, I think the author did a great job and should do more of these.:steamhappy:

Next time you play, i'd to watch, I must be able to improve so much from you!!!... - I'd love to see you nade and prefire every SINGLE one of these spots, as you were dh :) x
Soft pocket orange  [author] Jul 18, 2017 @ 4:15pm
Well great but I never said that they're gonna be against people that are gonna prefire and pre nade every game? - generally guides are made to help people improve, and in some ways this will help people to improve, maybe only marginally, but it serves it's purpose. I'm happy for you, you must be really good at csgo. :))

Nah nah.Don't you think it is useless if the players will get prefired and naded alot? I would rather make a guide when I am a bigger rank and tested these positions? This is just useless for players.They'll get naded a lot.And I mean a lot.On bigger ranks these positons are prefired and checked a lot.So are the smokes.It's just my opinion.People should make guides only if they are experienced with the game, so they can make a better guide.
