Elder Titan my way! 4K MMR 65.79% WINRATE

Hello guys!
My name is XP im a 4k player, who recently started playing Elder Titan or Tauran Chieftain for those who is dotA1 Veterans.
I started watching some gameplays from players playing Elder titan, but they always ended up losing, so i read his spells, and figured out the perfect build for him. I Have also made a pubstomping guide i used from 3,5--4k.. But thats not really why i made THIS guide.
I started playing elder titan a lot and now i play him quite well. My team started drafting me Elder Titan in both Mid and offlane. Mostly Offlane. Please take time, and read everything through the guide.

Elder Titan Dagon Build burst on 6 slotted morphling 1 shot

As you can see on the top i have a good kda and solid at 3.00.
I have put in this video, to show you the full burst of elder titan against a farmed morphling. with the following items:

Playstyle of Elder Titan

Elder Titans playstyle is really agressiv, you gotta get a fast soulring/bottle, so you can spam ur Astral spirit/W If you catch about 4-6 creeps + hero, you wil have a bonus attack of +40-80 depending on levels. So you can smash down enemy supports, and keep this in mind, if they have no stuns, feel free to go deep, and get the kills. Cause ur Naturals Order/E wil take down their early on Base Armor, and that leaves them with a For example. the mask of madness debuff, they wil take so much more damage because of your E.

When the Astral Spirit icon.png Astral Spirit is summoned, it will perform the stomp perfectly synchronized with Elder Titan.

The sleep is applied in the radius around Elder Titan and the spirit. if the radius are overlapping, the duration does not stack up.
If the spirit is not summoned, both, magical and physical damage are centered around Elder Titan.
If Astral Spirit is not learnt, it still deals both damage instances around Elder Titan.

The Astral Spirit icon.png Astral Spirit itself possesses this ability as well (with a different icon). Ordering the spirit to cast it forces Elder Titan to cast his part.
When being cast on the spirit while Elder Titan is disabled, it will go into cooldown for the spirit and do nothing.
However, Elder Titan can still use it afterwards and the spirit will still mimic, even though its own is on cooldown.
Echo Stomp cannot be canceled by ordering the spirit to stop. During the Echo Stomp animation, the spirit "Can't Act" (a red error message appears, reading that).

Affected units cannot be woken up for the initial 0.65 seconds of the sleep.

Only player-based damage can wake up affected units. lance creeps, neutral creeps and buildings (towers/fountains) cannot wake them up.

Casting Echo Stomp icon.png Echo Stomp while the spirit returns to Elder Titan forces the spirit to stop and cast his part. He will continue returning once the cast finishes.

Does not prevent neutral creeps from spawning.

The spirit has 450 radius ground vision.

7 (6) useful tips for Elder Titan. Some is

  1. Echo Stomp has long casting time, but HUGE AoE. In early game you should be capable of catch enemies with your Spirit + Stomp combo easily, when they don't have a lot of mobility. With right timing and positioning you can pull off Stomp when opponents don't see you or your spirit (trees, fog). By the way, your spell is activated as soon as you press on it (just like with Sand King's ultimate), not when casting is finished (like Shadow Fiend's ultimate) so be wise when you use it.
  2. Ultimate MUST have a set up, either with your stomp or something else (makes wonders with Void, Enigma, Naga, Shaker and Magnus). There are also narrow spots on the map where enemies can't escape from it (especially Roshan Pit). Damage is half magical half physical, which synergises well with your passive.
  3. One of the most item independent heroes, can hit hard though with bonuses he gets from spirit. Recommended Items are usually utility based: Arcane Boots, Soul Ring, Urn, Scythe, Refresher. Don't recommend getting DPS items even though he has 10 second steroid, since he has bad stat gain. ♥♥♥♥♥♥
  4. Echo Stomp does NOT STUN, BUT SLEEPS..... Otherwise, towers and creeps don't wake them up. Abuse it when enemies tower dive or overextend near creeps. Turn off radiance or any source of hero damage (except of HP removal) when needed so that you don't wake them. Each stomp deals it's own damage, ET - 80 physical, spirit - 80 magical. If you did not cast spirit it will be summoned next to him automatically, regardless if you have any points in Ancestral Spirit.
  5. All your skills hit invisible units.
  6. Maxed aura is broken as hell, but it has quite small AoE. But your spirit carries it, so it should compensate that.
  7. Counters: Clockwerk, Lifestealer, Naga, Pudge, Rubick <---------- focus these guys down first, 90% of the time last spell you cast in scirmish is your Ultimate
Building And skilling.
Elder Titan is known for his Auras, cause his Astral Spirit also gets the buffs. So you wil most of the time buy aura items such as...
  • Vladamirs Offering
  • Shivas Guard
  • Assault Cuirass
  • Drums of endurance.
  • Pipe of insight.
  • Crimson Guard
  • Mekanism

Here is my Skill order.


Here is my Building.

As you can see, i choose to start Stout shield. That is like an obious choice, because you wil need suviveabilty against the duel/trilanes, 2 clarityies to help you spam your W as much as possible and keep farming with the sterioid. Later on i rush a Soulring, can be replaced by bottle, depending on your teams rune control. And Power threads cause of your low stat gain.



The Cores is pretty simple,
* Drums as it helps your missing stats, and gives a strong early/mid game.
* BKB helps you set up your stomp without getting interrupted. Also you are a strength hero, so it gives good stats aswell.
* Veil of Discord, is just my own little tricky item. Cause it helps you to deal even more damage with your ulti, and just synegyzes good with other heroes, such as shadowfiend-invoker etc..


The Situationel items, is pretty simple, If you know about the game, you wil probally know what to choose, but if you arnt familiar with aura or atleast these items, i can make some small notes for each of em..



* Scythe of Vyse. A really strong item against heroes with passivs like Void/Pa/Antimage. So your carries/you wil have easier to kill the target enemy.

* Refreshers Orb. Whats better that 35% damage? 70% DAMAGE! Remember, your ulti is enemy "Max hp" so you wil nearly do multi kills by using double ulti. Not really recommended, but its strong if you use it in the right cases.

* Vladamirs Offering. Helps your team with good rosh fighting. Remember you wil need 2+ Meele heroes before its worth it going this item.

* Shivas Guard. Strong active aswell as the Passiv. Kinda much ruins enemy carries attack speed, and grants you a bigger mana pool aswell, so you can cast your spells more. And the active slow also helps setting up the ultimate.

* Crimsonguard. Pretty new item, i dont really know much bout it. If you try it, please leave a comment about some important things bout it. ty :) ♥♥♥♥♥♥

* Heart of Tarrasque. Gives great stats

*EDIT Aghanims Scepter. Aghanims now upgrades on Earth Splitter. Really strong, highly recommended.!!! 8 Secs Disarm
