Desolator and Daedalus work wonders when you need to deal with foes who can tank your spells. Bloodthorne, on the other hand, is a nightmare-inducing late game purchase for Arc Wardens, Invokers, and Phantom Assassins when it's in the hands of the Slayer. That's why I typically buy an Orchid Malevolence as a Core Item. :)

You might want to update the guide. I'm sure the situational items were supposed to go on the extensions and the core to situational.

The Bloodstone is a great late-game item, especially if you need to help your team stop counter-pushes. I especially recommend getting a Bloodstone if some of your enemies have talents that can hasten how quickly they respawn.

Only one phrase, one politically correct and scientifically accurate statement, can properly describe the potential of the weapon that is Daedalus - "Random crits are fair and balanced".
