I woke up today to check on my stats as I am habitually prone to do and was faced with a WONDERFUL SURPRISE! Earthtongue has been greenlit! It seems that the influx of votes from people discovering Earthtongue via the Indiegamestand Sale was enough!

I honestly cannot overstate how happy I am and have basically been shouting celebratory statements on twitter and pacing around the house in excitement for several hours now.

I'm going to start getting it ready for steam very shortly! I think I'll probably combine the Steam Release with the upcoming Earthtongue Update I was going to put out very soon. The new version will be including, along with everything in the first version, 10 new species, carnivorous fungi, visible spores/rain, meteors which serve as natural disasters, new music, and a terraforming option (spending interventions to raise/lower terrain). Earthtongue is a complete game, but I also envision it as a Living Game, something that I can return to every now and then for a couple months to add something new and great on top. If you already own the game on itch.io or indiegamestand you should receive a key for steam when it lands, by the way!

Anyway, Thank you so much!! The support of everyone here, on twitter, on everywhere! It has all meant a lot to me. I originally started Earthtongue as a sideproject, something that I could make to indulge my desire to own a bizarre terrarium and feel more connected with ecology. I thought that it be a nice little thing to make for myself for relax and enjoy, and that maybe a few other people would enjoy it too. I never thought that it would into something so great and meaningful to me but I am immensely overjoyed that is has. Thank you
