TableMote — Emote System for Tabletop Simulator

Send emotes, reactions, and memes during your game — no mic needed!

A lightweight emote system that lets players express themselves with image-based emotes, displayed as a chat-style feed on screen.



Features

  • Emote Feed — Emotes appear on the right side of the screen, chat-style
  • Combo Emotes — Select 2–3 emotes and send them as a horizontal combo
  • Customizable Packs — Create your own emote packs with any images you want
  • Player Settings — Show/hide feed, adjust max emotes on screen (1–4), block specific players
  • Draggable UI — Move the emote picker wherever you want on screen
  • Multi-Pack Support — Use multiple emote packs at the same time
  • Works with any game/mod — Just place the objects on the table



What's Included

  • Feed Object — Receives and displays emotes on screen (1 required per game)
  • Default Emote Pack



How to Use

  1. Subscribe to this Workshop item
  2. In TTS: Saved Objects
  3. Place both objects (Feed + Pack) on the table
  4. Each player will see an emote picker at the bottom-right of their screen
  5. Click any emote to send it — it appears in everyone's feed!

Combo Mode:
  1. Click the "Combo" button in the picker
  2. Select 2–3 emotes (shown as ■□□ indicator)
  3. Click "Send" to display them side-by-side
  4. Click "Clear" to reset your selection

Settings:
  • Click the ⚙ button in your picker to open settings
  • Show/Hide the emote feed
  • Change max visible emotes (1–4)
  • Block specific players' emotes

Hide/Show Picker:
  • Click the "-" button to minimize your picker
  • Click the small thumbnail to restore it



Create Your Own Emote Pack

Anyone can create and share custom emote packs!

  1. Open TTS and place the Pack object on the table
  2. Right-click the Pack object → Scripting → Lua tab
  3. Find the emoteData table at the top of the script
  4. Upload your images to Steam Cloud
  5. Copy the Steam Cloud URL and add entries:
    { name = "my_emote", url = "paste_url_here" },
  6. Edit PACK_NAME and PACK_AUTHOR with your info
  7. Press Ctrl+Shift+S to apply
  8. Right-click the Pack object → Save Object
  9. Upload to Workshop and share!



Troubleshooting

Emotes not showing?
  • Make sure the Feed Object is on the table (Only ONE Feed Object should be on the table at a time)
  • Check that you're seated at a player color (not spectating)

Ghost UI stuck on screen?
  • Right-click the Feed Object → "Reset TableMote UI"
  • This clears all TableMote UI and reloads everything

Picker not visible?
  • You may have hidden it — look for a small thumbnail at the bottom-right
  • Try right-clicking the Feed Object → "Reset TableMote UI"
  • Try deleting the Pack object and placing it again from Saved Objects
