Using Ludusavi with SaveSync
By savesyncgames
To give you backup options for games not yet supported by us, we have integrated the open-source tool Ludusavi directly into SaveSync.

SaveSync will act as the cloud for any local backups generated using Ludusavi.
Important: To avoid sync conflicts, if a game is already supported by SaveSync, please do not use Ludusavi to back it up.

How to use
  • Find Ludusavi: Ludusavi will appear just like any other game in your SaveSync Games Library list.
  • Launch the App: Since SaveSync comes bundled with the executable, simply clicking Play will start Ludusavi.
  • Create Local Backups: Use the Ludusavi interface to scan and create backups of your unsupported games.
  • Upload to SaveSync: Back in the SaveSync app, click Add Save, select the game backup folder generated by Ludusavi, and click Create Save.
  • Sync to Cloud: Wait for the upload to finish. Your backup is now safely stored in the SaveSync cloud!
  • Manage Local Files: SaveSync automatically downloads your cloud backups to your PC in the background. Toggling a backup to Activate in SaveSync will place those downloaded files directly into Ludusavi's specific backup location. Toggling to Deactivate will remove them from that folder.
  • Restoring a Save: Once a save is Activated in SaveSync, open Ludusavi and use its restore function to apply the save to your game.
Note on Sharing Saves with Friends
While you can technically use SaveSync to share these backups with your friends, restoring them on a different PC might not work perfectly out of the box. This usually happens because your friend might have a different Windows username or game installation path than you do.

If you want to experiment with sharing saves, you or your friend can use the Redirects feature inside Ludusavi to manually remap the backup to the correct location on their specific PC.
