How to share your ICARUS save files to your friends
By NullPointer
My friend and I kept wanting to get back to our ICARUS prospect, but we could never be online at the same time. Our prospect just sat there. Then I found a way to share it so either of us can host. This guide walks you through the setup and explains how it works. Takes about 5 minutes, then you can play whenever you want.

You'll need SaveSync (one-time purchase with lifetime updates)
Setup Steps
1. Close ICARUS completely after creating a new save

2. Open SaveSync → Select ICARUS
3. Click "+ New Save" → Choose your prospect

4. Wait for sync (green checkmark)
5. Click share icon → Add your friend

That's it! Your friend can now host your ICARUS prospect.

Note: SaveSync only shows open-world prospects, not faction missions.
How Your Friend Accesses the Prospect
1. Open SaveSync
2. Find the shared ICARUS save
3. Click "Activate"

4. Launch ICARUS and play!

How It Actually Works
Your ICARUS prospect is stored as a JSON file in a Prospects folder on your computer. Normally, if you wanted your friend to continue that prospect, you'd have to find the file, send it over Discord or email, and then your friend would have to figure out where to put it on their machine. And you'd do this back and forth every single time you play. That's the pain.

SaveSync does all of that automatically. When you share a prospect, it uploads your prospect's JSON file to the cloud. When your friend clicks "Activate," it downloads that file and puts it in the exact right spot on their computer -- the same Prospects folder where ICARUS looks for them. No hunting for folders, no manual file transfers, no "wait, where does this go?" ICARUS just sees the prospect and loads it like normal.

Important: SaveSync only works when ICARUS is not running.
