How to share Corekeeper save files to your friends
By NullPointer
My friend and I kept wanting to dig deeper in our Core Keeper world, but we could never be online at the same time. Our world just sat there. Then I found a way to share it so either of us can host. This guide walks you through the setup and explains how it works. Takes about 5 minutes, then you can play whenever you want.

You'll need SaveSync (one-time purchase with lifetime updates)
Setup Steps
1. Close Core Keeper completely after creating a new save

2. Open SaveSync → Select Core Keeper
3. Click "+ New Save" → Choose your world

4. Wait for sync (green checkmark)
5. Click share icon → Add your friend

That's it! Your friend can now host your Core Keeper world.
How Your Friend Accesses the Save
1. Open SaveSync
2. Find the shared Core Keeper save
3. Click "Activate" → Choose a slot
Core Keeper has 30 world slots. The slot you pick maps to the world slot inside the game.

4. Launch Core Keeper and play!
How It Actually Works
Your Core Keeper world is made up of three files sitting in your Steam userdata folder: a worldinfo file, a worldgenparam file, and the actual world data. Normally, if you wanted your friend to host that world, you'd have to find those files scattered across different folders, bundle them up, send them over Discord or email, and then your friend would have to figure out where to put them on their machine. And you'd do this back and forth every single time you play. That's the pain.

SaveSync does all of that automatically. When you share a world, it bundles those three files together and uploads them to the cloud. When your friend clicks "Activate" and picks a world slot, it downloads the files and uses Steam Cloud to write them into the exact right locations -- the same place Core Keeper expects to find them. No hunting for files, no manual transfers, no "wait, which folder?" Core Keeper just sees the world in the slot you chose and loads it like normal.

Important: SaveSync only works when Core Keeper is not running.
