Dynamic Universal War System - Escalation



DUWS - Escalation is a modified version of DUWS itself made by kibot.



Since this is a modification, credits also go to him, for creating this mission in the first place, along with a few other people for the scripts specified in the mission briefing.



DUWS - Escalation brings the amazing modification Escalation from Red Hammer Studios to fun Dynamic Universal Way System with a few featured improvements!

As of the modfification, all units in the map are now either United States Army or Russian MSV, which are both from RHS Escalation. Other then that, all but existing vehicles in service with the US Army are removed, and replaced with Escalation vehicles, such as listed.

The ATV, SUV, Pickup, Hunter, Hummingbird and it's armed counterpart stays, but reskinned and refined to look as if it were from either the United States Army or of a civilian variant.

Of course, all units in the viciinty of the HQ and FOBs are now US Army soldiers, and the opposing force are now Russian MSV units, except for Steal's truck, as it looks so perfect to be there in the first place.

All your player side statistics are carried to the mission and carried out too, towards all other DUWS type missions.
Operatives are given specific headgear and no Tactical Glasses and Combat Goggles, since i can't even verify if they're real or in the US Army.



DUWS Modified: Escalation.

A friend of mine who has helped me in configs on this mission has recently uploaded his own variant of DUWS, completely based on DUWS Modified by Bigshot:

Changelog:

0.97

- Removed clearMagazineCargo codes from Hunter MRAPs, was remenants of the non-released DUWS Modified version of this mission [Fixed in 0.96, forgot to mention].
- UH-60M should now use black textures from Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead. Canceled due to how bad it looks.
- Added new side mission, 'sling'.
- Set the date of operation to 1st of January, 2015, instead of 2035.
- Deleted some un-used textures to make the mission a bit smaller.
- Simple re-work for the disable None Grass option for TAW View Distance. Confirmed to work.
- Reworked options to properly add the squad manager and view distance actions after respawn. Confirmed to work.
- Fixed HEMTT (Ammo) was using repair truck textures.
- Used setObjectTexture along side the already implented setObjectTextureGlobal, this may or may not help with the invisible textures issues.

0.96

- Added offset to downed pilot mission so he's less likely to be stuck inside his helicopter [Fixed in 0.94, forgot to mention].
- Added HEMTT high powered transport trucks.
- Added TF47 vehicle textures, licensed thanks to audiocustoms, the mod is not required, the files are included in the mission.
- Added 2 more variants of the HMMWV with open cabin for rail shooting.
- Removed snorkel HMMWV variants, due to the fact that they're used by the USMC, and not the Army.
- M-ATV and HEMTT now use TF47 textures, no more tan replacements for the M-ATV.
- Re-placed GAZ-66 variants so that the Ammo variant is listed first, alphabetically.
- Re-placed civilian vehicles to be in front of the list, because, they're civilian vehicles.
- Pickup trucks now use A3 textures that are properly randomized instead of the tan coating, the doors and other features also properly stay with it.

0.95

- Infinite Stamina should now work after respawn [Fixed in 0.94, forgot to mention].
- Modified loadout script, but this has been replaced with the following feature below [Fixed in 0.94, forgot to mention].
- Respawn loadout script has been updated and modified so that if using opposing force uniform, it will be added properly.
- Operatives now use khaki bandannas instead of RHS scarfs, since the scarfs would clip through US Army helmets.

0.94

- Replaced XM320 with M2 and XM307 with Mk19 [Mk30 and Mk32 static weapons].
- Fixed CSAT vehicles, should no longer appear.
- CSAT forces should no longer appear.
- Squads re-enabled.
- TAW View Distance updated.
- Added 100 starting CPs and 250 starting CPs options.

0.93

- Fixed pricing issues with new vehicles.

- Updated to RHS Escalation 0.3.5
- Added Russian tanks to vehicle requesitions.

- Fixed vehicle spawn bugs.

Known issues:

- Some errors at startup, seems like if it were there even before i touched it.
- CSAT vehicles may still spawn, along with it's crewmembers.
- Task Forces are still Vanilla US Army, as in, future 2035 units.
- Some units may still be using A3 glasses, such as Tactical Glasses and Combat Goggles.



Future plans:

- Possibly make more mod variants and/or combos.
- Disable/Enable fatigue.
- Groups.
- Different helicopter taxis.
- Custom loadout units with fully loaded gear.

Of course, these future plans are up to my discretion, i can change and do whatever i want with it.



Testing:

No extensive testing with this exact version took place, as time of writting, i don't have anyone to play with, or at least i don't want to disturb them or something, feel free to report and bugs except for the ones already specified.

That means you can modifiy and share this mission, as long as you give credits to the original authors, links to the original missions and release it with the same or simlar license as above.



Note:

This is not modified from BigShot's DUWS Modified, though i have modified his to a similar mission as this, but it is never released and as his license states, it cannot be released.

Though this mission uses some writting content i did on my un-released mission stated above, it may contain a little bit of BigShot's work, so he has been placed in the credits, but otherwise, i tried my best to keep him out of it, and if i did it right, his work is left undisturbed.

Also, the images are mostly not from the mission itself, it's just editor shots to as a promo.
Also note that the cover image shows a soldier and pilots wearing OCP camoflouge, which is not featured in the mission as the soldiers are using UCP camoflouge.
And the first picture in the slide show shows a soldier wearing Tactical Glasses talking to the officer.
The pilot of the A-10s in the slide show is also using Tactical Glasses.

Is this mod still supported? i've been searching multiples of different DUWS mod/scenario in which supports different planes and vehicles. I haven't seen a DUWS where it has F-15's Tomcats, Raptor or harrier planes.

so everytime i ask for heli taxi the heli is half rendered. :P Its not too much of a big deal since the script works fine and the pilot goes where i tell him but it is kind of an eyesore. Nonetheless duws and rhs go great together!

Other then that,

Manually place zones - No, that seems to be a custom feature on other unofficial DUWS.
Guest player's HC units - Probably, due to how A3 works, though this is actually a disadvatage for server performence, it will benefit you i guess.
