I agree with this info. Maybe I'm blind, but I don't see your guide mentioning the quoted info anywhere. It would be immensely useful to add it somewhere more visible. This way, players would stop going for only one bait and then trying to farm it, when they could've spent other baits and got the fish.
He also actually confirmed what i got out of my test, but as i explained him people will not understand. I can change everything to all baits but the chance is 1/12, but people will still complain that they don't get a fish with a certain bait.
"Another example of slightly incorrect data is for the Greenback Bighead Carp. If I am reading the code correctly, the location and bait you use doesn't actually directly affect the drop rate. If I am reading correctly it has a roughly 1/12 drop rate to hit the table it is on at all 4 spots as long as you are in the correct weather and time of day.
This chance is then affected by your luck stat which can make it higher. Then the chance to hit any specific fish on the table should be the same, but I haven't checked how many fish are on the table. This would mean though that you would specifically want to use the normal bait, not toilet cleaner, because toilet cleaner drops your luck stat significantly, which hurts your chances."
The chances to get a storm fish is 1/200. So you need 200 bait to get one fish, If this is really correct.
Googledoc had the same info with Toilet Cleaner. The whole thing is a mess, it turns out - no sources with up-to-date data. Please disregard my previous arguments about the quality of your data.
I used the Wiki and the InGame guide and MG experience for this guide.... 😑 🤦♂️
The Wiki said after the game was released that the Greenback needs toilet cleaner.
I also used other guides as reference and all said the same.
Again, after an update everything changed and again read my updates and my tests.
Oh and the Wiki is also a secondary source, since the entrys are from normal players, they even I update once in a while an wiki entry. 🤷♂️
So you do not trust my guide but an wiki entry I might be evolved with information.. 🤦♂️
