Common Q&A
· Due to Steam's mysterious update mechanism, the MOD cannot guarantee timely automatic updates. If you encounter problems, please first ensure the version number in the MOD name is the latest before providing feedback. You can trigger a forced update by resubscribing to this MOD.

· If you cannot see the MOD settings, it is because the prerequisite MOD is not subscribed. Resubscribe to this MOD or manually subscribe to the MODSetting MOD, enable it, and enter the game to see the relevant settings for this MOD.

· If you experience a black or blue screen after pressing ESC, it might be because you changed the weapon aim time to 0 using MOD components. Please avoid this situation.

· If the crosshair flies around erratically when aiming, please check if you are subscribed to any MODs related to aiming or the camera. This MOD might conflict with such MODs.

· The official roof display interface is currently not very usable because the roof in the base game is a one-sided plane. Therefore, even if the interface is enabled, the roof will not be visible in over-the-shoulder view.

Aside from fixing severe incompatibility issues potentially caused by official updates, version 1.20 will likely be the last major version.


User Guide

Subscribe to this MOD and the prerequisite MODSetting, then enable them in the MODS section of the main menu. It will take effect automatically upon entering the game.

The MOD supports setting hotkeys and adjusting camera position, among other functions. After subscribing to the MODSetting mod (prerequisite mod) and enabling it, you can find the relevant configurations in the in-game ESC menu.

Note: This MOD might conflict with other camera MODs, such as first-person MODs (comments suggest they might work together but could be unstable).

If it interferes with other MODs, try moving this MOD lower in the load order.



Currently Supported Features
1. Third-person over-the-shoulder camera, supporting both Free Camera and View Lock modes, allowing you to adjust parameters like camera relative offset, FOV, and render distance.

2. Utilizes smooth camera strategies and character fade-out effects for a better viewing experience.

3. UI display optimized for over-the-shoulder view, including correct sound visualization, dynamic health bars, stamina bars, and occlusion prevention switch effects.

4. Supports 360-degree free aiming, including ceilings. You can shoot wherever you point!

5. Uses the original sensitivity settings, includes an additional sensitivity coefficient for adjustment, and supports Y-axis inversion.

6. Supports the zoom magnification of different scopes; the zoom level is tied to the original scope and weapon stats.

7. Specially adapted recoil mechanism, supporting free adjustment of recoil intensity (currently only vertical recoil, further optimization needed).

8. Supports shoulder swap operation, including both single-key toggle and dual-key toggle modes.

9. A simple minimap based on the original maps, allowing free positioning and scaling, with an option to rotate with the player's view.

10. MOD menu implemented via MODSetting, includes many other minor features. You can freely explore and configure them in the in-game ESC menu -> Settings.

· Supports and enables Free Camera by default. Free Camera mode allows you to freely observe the character model and is fully adapted for in-combat states. It can be manually disabled in settings to revert to the original camera mode.

· Synchronized the minimap's direction indicator with the camera direction.

· Supported smoother camera collision avoidance; the camera view will no longer jump.
· Supports separate adjustment for world map and minimap rotation! The minimap now rotates with the character's view by default.
· Added a crosshair occlusion prevention switch; enabling it will restore the base game's tree occlusion prevention effect.
· Added a one-click reset button for all options at the bottom of the MOD settings.
· Continued attempts to fix minimap error reports to prevent frame drops caused by conflicts with certain MODs.

If anyone is wondering the most balanced setting for the recoil multiplier is 0.72. The vertical recoil becomes nearly identical to vanilla top down view.
