Getting Started
I really love testing and figuring out how games actually work.
So, I decided to break down how FruitBus calculates dish prices and what ingredient combinations give the best results.

The dedicated guide by せいり, "Guide to Bussin' Fruits~", already provided a mapping sheet —
but since it was still incomplete, I decided to test every case myself and complete the full version.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3356707016
How your Dish Prices Are Calculated
Here’s the sheet I created based on my in-game tests and observations.
It includes all ingredients, their base prices, and how combo bonuses actually apply.

This is how the system works:
The final price of a dish depends on four things —
  • 1️⃣ the type of dish (Salad, Smoothie, Sandwich, etc.)
  • 2️⃣ each ingredient's base price
  • 3️⃣ bonuses from ingredients that match the dish (dish bonus)
  • 4️⃣ combo bonuses between ingredients that work well together in pairs

When a dish bonus (3️⃣) occurs, it triggers the combo bonus (4️⃣) again.
— essentially giving you a double combo effect.

A few more things to note:
  • Once the combined count of ingredients and combos reaches 10, every additional combo cuts the prices by 1.
(If the combined count is 13, the price gets -4 penalty.)
  • If an ingredient is oven-roasted or stir-fried, it won’t receive any dish or combo bonuses.
So unless a customer specifically asks for it, there’s no need to waste effort cooking it.
Understanding Ingredients
Ingredient prices in FruitBus seem to be based on three things —
how common they are, how many spawn in an area, and how hard they are to collect.

For example:
• Apples appear everywhere and cost only 1.
• Chili grows in limited areas(volcano) and cost 20.
• Potatoes are underground in ruins and cost 25.
• Onions require some hunting around, cost 20.
• Mushrooms are the rarest and most expensive at 35.
Interestingly, shrine-unlocked ingredients like Pineapple, Pear, and Truffle only cost 10.

Below is how each ingredient behaves and what it pairs well with.

---
  • 🍎 Apple (1): The most common ingredient.
Often used in Lemon🍋–Banana🍌–Mango🥭 combos (great with Lemon🍋).
Can also fit in Apple🍎–Orange🍊–Tomato🍅 sets.
    No dish bonus.

  • 🍌 Banana (3) : Easy to collect once you get the Fruit Fetcher.
Top combo is Banana🍌–Lemon🍋–Mango🥭; adding Pineapple🍍 also works.
Gives a +4 bonus when used in Smoothies🥤.

  • 🥕 Carrot (5): No bonuses at all — just filler material.

  • 🌶️ Chili (20): Found in volcano drops when eruptions happen.
Once the Radio Tower is fixed, you can even predict eruption timing.
Highly valued and best in Soups🍲(+16 bonus).
Also works with Mango🥭 or Cucumber🥒
    — good branches are Mango🥭–Banana🍌–Lemon🍋
    or Cucumber🥒–Tomato🍅–Lettuce🥬/Orange🍊.

  • 🧄 Garlic (10): Needs a shovel.
    Optimized for Stir-fry dishes🍳(+15 bonus).
    No ingredient pairing bonus.

  • 🍋 Lemon (5): Needs a Fruit Fetcher for stable supply.
    Lemon🍋–Banana🍌–Mango🥭–Apple🍎 gives strong yield;
pairs well with Salad dishes🥗(+5 bonus).

  • 🥭 Mango (5): Doesn’t spawn often; Fruit Fetcher helps.
    Smoothie bonus🥤(+5 bonus) applies.
    Works best with Chili🌶️, Lemon🍋, and Banana🍌.

  • 🍍 Pineapple (10): Unlocked through shrine offerings.
Pairs best with Banana🍌. No dish bonus.

  • 🥒 Cucumber (10): Gets a Sandwich bonus🥪(+8 bonus).
Works well with Chili🌶️ and Tomato🍅.

  • 🥬 Lettuce (3): Fairly easy to find.
    Salad bonus🥗(+4 bonus) applies;
    good with Tomato🍅.

  • 🍄 Mushroom (35): Most expensive ingredient. Found in Ruins, Bog, or Villa mazes.
Limited spawn, so you’ll need multiple runs.
Works in both Soup🍲(+24 bonus) and Stir-fry🍳(+28 bonus). No pairing bonus.

  • 🍐 Pear (10): Found in the Villa maze.
No dish bonus but pairs with Blueberry🫐.

  • 🥔 Potato (25): Found underground in Ruins. No dish or pairing bonuses,
but its high base price helps boost dish value.

  • 🍅 Tomato (5): Adds a Soup bonus🍲(+9 bonus).
    Combos with Cucumber🥒, Lettuce🥬, and Orange🍊.

  • 🧅 Onion (20): Adds a Stir-fry bonus🍲(+20 bonus).
No pairing bonus but high base value.

  • 🍊 Orange (5): Combos nicely with Apple🍎, Tomato🍅, and Blueberry🫐.
    No dish bonus.

  • 🫐 Blueberry(5): Pairs best with Pear🍐 and Orange🍊.
    Smoothie bonus🥤(+5 bonus) applies.

  • 🫚 Ginger (10): No pairing bonus, but gets bonuses in both Stir-fry🍳(+15 bonus) and Smoothie🥤(+7 bonus).

  • 🌲 Pinecone (10): The only ingredient that gains a +7 Salad bonus🥗 when oven-roasted.
    No Pairing Bonus.

  • 🍄 Truffle (10): No direct pairings, but gives bonuses in all bowl-type dishes
    (Salad🥗+7 bonus, Soup🍲+11 bonus, and Stir-fry🍳+15 bonus).
Recommended Combos by Dish
No matter what dish type you make, the ingredient combo system works is the same —
but the conditions and bonuses that apply are slightly different.

---

🥤 Smoothie (4)
Max 4 ingredients.
The combo system here is generous —
a few right picks can beat bigger dishes.

✅ Best combo: Banana 🍌 + Mango 🥭 + Lemon 🍋 (+ Pineapple 🍍 optional)
This trio gives the highest yield. Add Pineapple if you’ve unlocked it.
🥤Dish Bonus ingredients: Banana 🍌, Mango 🥭, Blueberry 🫐, Ginger 🫚
If you want to make an expensive version, mix in Chili 🌶️ or high-value fillers such as Mushroom 🍄 or Potato 🥔.

🥗 Salad (3)
Max 8 ingredients.
Simple and classic — just chop and toss everything in the bowl.
Still, stacking bonuses makes a big difference.

✅ Best combo: Lemon 🍋 + Banana 🍌 + Mango 🥭 + Apple 🍎 (+ Lettuce 🥬 + Tomato 🍅)
🥗Dish Bonus Ingredient: Lemon 🍋, Lettuce 🥬, Truffle 🍄, and Oven-roasted Pinecone 🌲
For a expensive version, add Chili 🌶️ and Cucumber 🥒, plus expensive fillers like Mushroom 🍄, Onion 🧅, or Potato 🥔.

🥪 Sandwich (5)
You’ll need Bread 🍞 or Croutons 🎲 to make one —
so technically, the real limit is 7 ingredients.

✅ Best combo: Bread 🍞 + Cucumber 🥒 + Tomato 🍅 + Chili 🌶️ + Mango 🥭 + Banana 🍌 + Lemon 🍋
🥪Dish Bonus Ingredient: Cucumber 🥒

Only Cucumber 🥒 gets the Sandwich bonus, so build around it.
You can make Croutons by slicing Bread, just giving +1 bonus — so not worth the extra work unless a quest requires it.

---

🍲 Soup (12)
Max 8 ingredients.
Has the highest base price (12), probably because it uses water 💧 and takes longer to cook.

✅ Best combo: Chili 🌶️ + Mango 🥭 + Cucumber 🥒 + Tomato 🍅 + Mushroom 🍄 + Truffle 🍄 + Potato 🥔 + Onion 🧅
🍲Dish Bonus Ingredient: Chili🌶️, Mushroom 🍄 , Tomato 🍅, and Truffle 🍄

Chili🌶️ pairs especially well with Mango 🥭 and Cucumber 🥒 .
If you follow the Mango 🥭 route, add Banana 🍌 and Lemon 🍋.
If you go the Cucumber 🥒 route, add Tomato 🍅, Orange 🍊, or Lettuce 🥬.

---

🍳 Stir-fry (3)
Max 8 ingredients.
Despite the cooking time, its base price is the same as Salad (3).
It seems to act as cooked stuff for other dishes,
since Stir-fried food can be used again in recipes like Soup.

✅ Best combo: Ginger 🫚 + Truffle 🍄 + (Garlic 🧄 or Mushroom 🍄) + any expensive throw-in
🍳Dish Bonus Ingredient: Garlic 🧄, Mushroom 🍄, Onion 🧅, Ginger 🫚, Truffle 🍄

However, none of them combo directly with each other.
If you’re in the Frosty Pines region,
start with Ginger🫚 and Truffle🍄, then toss in what’s left on your truck.

But honestly — if your goal is pure profit, Soup gives better returns.
Conclusion
This guide is based on my own testing and data,
but the game might change in future updates —
so some details could shift later on.
