Heading for Steam!
Description
Release date: First quarter 2015
A "Metroid-vania"-style platform adventure, voted BEST IPHONE GAME OF THE YEAR by Gamezebo 17 Dec, 2014.

With inspiration going all the way back to SNES and 8-bit classics, Traps n' Gemstones is a modern take on exploration-based, backtracking platformers, loaded with hidden chambers to uncover, artifacts to find, weapons to use and items to combine.

- "...The level design is exemplary. This isn’t just a good example of how to do a platformer on mobile, this is a good example of how to do a platformer period." -- Gamezebo

THE PLOT

Precious relics have suddenly started to disappear from a well-hid pyramid that has been guarded by Bedouins for generations, who claim to have spotted an unknown perpetrator.
As a freelance archaeologist and expert on ancient explorations, you've been secretly called in to Egypt to help them solve the mystery.

Arriving at the pyramid's entrance empty handed, your journey starts off by searching some well-known chambers for items and weapons to help you on your quest.
But as you get deeper into the pyramid, you begin to realize that this mystery will require more than just a whip, a sharp mind and a good amount of explosives to unravel.

Most iOS/Android games are terrible on PC.
I don't have a reason to believe this will be different.

Voted yes, it looks good. I would love to see this type of game done with more serious graphics too.

The gameplay seems kinda boring compared to other beloved Metroidvania style games, but it's better than the other dross on Greenlight at least. If this game were $5 or less I'll give it a shot

Nice. The art is a little cutesy, but the concept is solid, and I don't ever get tired of this kind of game.

Sound design is impressive, and it looks pretty good, but if it costs more than it's mobile equivalent, I won't touch it.

Unless you add something to add to the experience, of course.

This looks like a fun game for those who liked La-Mulana. I'll vote "Yes".

I have seen a few of these games too many... but I admit this one catches my eye better than others on greenlight. Decided this one might as well hav a vote...
