A two-sided pass-through window for transferring items between rooms without entering or disrupting the other room's climate—perfect for moving raw food directly to the kitchen or cold storage.

Whether you're forcing colonists to deliver slave body straps to bedrooms or enabling druggie colonists with faster access to goods, this handy hole-in-the-wall keeps things efficient, awkward-free, and climate-controlled.



Ideal for your annoying, high-voiced recluse chefs, introverted haulers, and anyone mastering the medieval equivalent of 'leave it at the door.' Because sometimes, the best way to improve logistics is to avoid eye contact entirely.



Key Mechanics
  • Transfers items between adjacent rooms without temperature loss.
  • Automatically aligns to the correct wall orientation (horizontal or vertical).
  • Can hold up to 3 item stacks.
  • Found under the Furniture tab (post-research). If using LWM’s Deep Storage, it is categorized under the Storage tab instead.
  • Costs 20 steel, 1 component, and 20 units of material (e.g., wood, stone).
  • Not suitable for chunks, plants, or buildings.
  • Perishable items left in the window will decay over time.

@Tyrant They can easily add the feature on their end by just letting their windows inherit the vanilla storage-class. I cannot do anything from my end.

That sounds nice ! Does it mean in theory less pathfinding calculation ?
