A Tiny Spaceship's Final Mission (Scenario)

Description
Welcome to A Tiny Spaceship’s Final Mission

This Space Engineers Scenario is a story based PVE space fighter shooter where you get to pilot experimental spaceships taking on missions and fighting epic boss battles !

Participate in huge battles using a variety of different ships!

Explore and find hidden secrets!

Details:

In this scenario, you will be able to choose between 9 different ships each with their own weapons, speed, and overall health (Some ships allow for multiple players onboard as gunners)

There are 9 chapters, each with 5 levels. That is 45 levels of exciting action packed gameplay!

Unlock new weapons for your fighter after every mission.

Defend bases and tactical locations from enemy attacks.

Destroy enemy strongholds and supply chains!

Push back the invading enemy forces and put an end to the war!

How to Play:

Before you start, make sure broadcasting is enabled. You can change this in the game settings by unmuting broadcast controllers. You NEED this to be able to receive dialogue and GPS during the scenario.

When you spawn, you will be in a room with some introductory credits. If you have a group of friends, be sure to let everyone load in before moving on. Make sure to have your broadcasting enabled. (You can toggle this on or off with O on your keyboard)

When you pilot your ship for the first time, you will notice some changes in controls. You cannot fly up, down, left or right. You can only move forward and backwards and you must turn using your gyros (mouse and Q/E)

1-4 on your HUD will be where you toggle weapons on or off for use. Your weapons will be locked until you unlock them through beating levels.

8 on your HUD is your afterburner, which gives you a huge speed boost - which will be very helpful for evading attacks and reaching high speeds quickly

9 on your HUD is your jump drive. It works exactly the same as a normal jump drive. When you receive GPS in the chat, you will need to input that into your jump drive through the ship’s terminal to jump to the next level.

Because this scenario used Weaponcore to function, the lock-on system is a bit different from vanilla. Right click will let you lock on, while scroll wheel will change which target you're locked on to.

Targets that you are aiming at will have numbers shown while you're aiming - those numbers correlate to which weapon you are aiming with. (1 is where weapon 1 needs to aim to hit.)

If a weapon doesn’t have a number, then it is either homing or laser-based and has instant travel time. If you are a gunner onboard a larger ship, you will not have any numbers. A sight is provided to help you aim the turret.

General Rules:

Do not repair or modify the ships in any way. It is cheating to add extra guns, thrusters, or remove parts of the ship. You are allowed to paint the ship however you’d like.

You are not allowed to toggle things from the terminal. Unlocking weapons before you are supposed to have them is cheating. The ONLY exception is when you respawn and get a new ship or if you are left behind in a group and didn’t receive the unlock on time.

Try to stay within 10km of the mission area - If you leave the antenna range, you might miss out on the GPS to the next level if the mission is checked as complete

If your group has more than 4 people, then someone needs to copy-paste extra ships. Make sure it is someone that has the DLC. You DO NOT need any DLC to play the scenario if you are using the ships that are already provided.

You are NOT allowed to spawn in your own ships. The encounters are designed and balanced to battle against the ships provided and if you use your own ship design, you might miss out on certain important details that require the provided ships.

If you run out of ships after respawning too many times - You are fully allowed to just spawn new ships if you have a blueprint on-hand.

Easter Eggs and Lore:

I have hidden a few secrets throughout the scenario if you are keen enough to find them!

I also added a whole bunch of hidden datapads throughout the scenario to give you clues about the story!

Multiplayer:

I have a discord server where I will post information about and teasers for updates and new scenarios.

Feel free to join if you want to participate or want to find others who play these scenarios!

Troubleshooting/Known Issues:

Lag - This scenario requires at least 16GB of Ram. It eats through memory very quickly and will have lag spikes, freezes, or other problems if you do not have enough memory for it.

If you are having lag while playing after a while - you can go to the entity list, select all grids, and click stop. That will make all debris stop moving and improve performance by a lot.

Game crash while trying to load the scenario - Closing the game and trying again usually fixes this. Make sure your computer is not hot while trying to load big scenarios.

I killed all the enemies and nothing is happening? - This is almost always from debris being around. Just make sure every wreckage within 5km of the mission area is destroyed and despawned. This issue can also happen if you left the 10km antenna range and the mission was completed while you were outside of range. (The signal sending the message couldn’t reach you)

Cutscenes are not showing for my friends - The cutscene mod has a few strange quirks. Make sure the world is either offline or public. It also seems to not work for people who use some plugins.

The level didn’t spawn any enemies? -This issue can happen if you play for too long. Be sure to save your progress often in case anything glitches out.

Suggestions/ Bugs:

If you find something that is not working as intended, feel free to leave a comment explaining the issue. I will get around to fixing it if needed.

If you think a ship needs adjustments to its speed or firepower, I probably won’t fix it. (Skill issue is not a valid reason for changing the stats of ships)

I will not be adding any new levels or ships to the scenario. I might adjust levels for difficulty or gameplay/story reasons if needed.

Disclaimer:

This scenario is inspired by Ace Combat and Project Wingman,.

Additionally, many of the ship designs are based on artworks by many artists found through google images while doing research.

"spaceship isn't tiny" Sir, i'm not sure you have seen how big the enemies get. ;)

I am slowly working on that titanfall scenario - just takes a while to make things
