Medieval Overhaul's recent update ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up the trees. And its trees have special layer things rules too. So they are just messy. This patch fixes some of the issues:

I am experiencing the same as VeggetoSSJ, and the trees added by Medieval Overhaul are drawing their bases in front of both other trees and in front of pawns that are standing below/in front of them. Trees added by other mods or in vanilla are rendering appropriately.

unfortunately this mod does not work with Natures Pretty Sweet trees and breaks my game throwing tones of "NullReferenceException" errors

It's extremely visually overstimulating in tree-heavy biomes but I can see this being very nice in a sparse area.

I'm still experiencing issues with the UI of the mod options, the Medieval Overhaul trees, (think Great Iter, Fir Oak etc.) their image in the UI is huge, overshadowing multiple other trees. Furthermore those same trees dont appear to be scalable at all anymore.

Yep! That is likely it.

Thanks guys :)

Oh, yeah Medieval Overhaul comment section seems filled with that bug report. Please refer to their comment section.

Medieval Overhaul just did some tree tweaking and seems to have messed up. Are you using it?

I'm encountering a bug that seems to have started overnight, possibly after RimWorld's June 8th 2026 update.

It appears that the rendering origin/pivot for Great Trees changed. The selection box is now centered in the middle of the tree rather than at the base/root like normal trees.

Gameplay-wise everything still functions correctly, but visually the trees appear offset and clip into nearby structures, making it look like they're growing inside buildings. The actual selectable location of the tree is slightly north of the rendered texture.

I've confirmed:

* It persists across saves and newly generated worlds
* It occurs with freshly generated Great Trees
* Normal trees render correctly
* Reinstalling the game/mods and clearing caches did not resolve it

Hi I was wondering if there was an option to have trunks render behind pawns?
