Combat Air Patrol 2

CAP2 is a flight and naval combat simulator where you fly the AV8B Harrier II.
After initial flight and tactical training you will be pitched into an immersive scenario against determined ground, sea and air based enemies.
Use your skill as a pilot and your tactical awareness to engage in dogfights, carry out ground attacks and command your fleet to ultimately ensure the safety of your comrades and the final capitulation of the enemy.

Moving your fleet on the tactical map and your performance in the air will affect the final outcome: Go 'gung ho' with a full out assault and the outcome will be in the balance, use your strategic abilities and plan ahead and the end result will be your ultimate victory.

CAP2 is set in a hypothetical scenario in the Straits of Hormuz, Persian Gulf. It has a beautifully rendered environment depicting both day and night missions.

- SSerponi76, Thanks and:

1) You can use any controller you have as well as the keyboard.
2) The Harrier is one of a kind, battle proven, versatile, has it's portable airstrip (LHD-6) plus it just looks cool :)

@f.scio: The Game looks gorgeous and I have a couple of questions: (1) Is a simulation joystick mandatory or I can use my Logitech Extreme 3D device (or maybe pad) to play it?
(2, philosophical) Why the Harrier?

- Jimmy, I'd describe CAP2 as closer to DCS than AceCombat, the cockpit is clickable too.
- boedha68, We've completed our (unexpectedly long!) C++/DX11 conversion so we're looking at a late March release. We'll post a specific date in a couple of weeks.

I would like to get a little more info on just how deep of a sim this is going to be, i've been following this for as long as i can remember and still don't know what it's gonna be. Are we talking ace combat or DCS? Will the cockpit be clickable? Thx

When the first one came out I wanted it so bad, but I was pennyless student. I am looking forward to playing the heck out of this one.
