SuperStock-historics

Description
Super Stock -historics
-----------------------
This is a simulation of a companion series to Late Model stock cars. This is Friday/Saturday night racing at your local short track!!! The last step up before progressing into the Late Model series. Don't let the historic bodies in this mod fool you. Underneath is a modern stock car. This series takes on different names depending on what track you are at. Sometimes called "Spectator", "Sportsman", "Hobby Stock", etc... I used the "Dominion Stock" rule book for most of this. This is a great mod for learning oval tactics & intro to car setups. Stock Car leagues will appreciate this mod as a great training ground. And just because it uses the rF2 physics engine, it has turned out to be a fun road racer too.

NASCAR Weekly Racing Series rules;
Cars must weigh 2,968 lbs./ 1,346 kilos
Minimum ride height: 6" / 15.24 cm... NO bump-stops/packers allowed
Wheelbase: 110" / 2.74 m
Wheeltrack: must be 61.5" / 1.56 m
Car must start race with 22 gallons / 83.28 liters of fuel
NO on-board Brake bias or Track bar adjustments.
NO pitting for tires. You must end the race on the tires you start with. You can replace a tire that gets knocked off.
NO Grill tape allowed
Local Short Track Rule- If you contact someone hard enough to cause a caution, you must pit and re-start in the back of the field.

Modeled parts;
Engines - Fords run 351Windsor. All other makes run GM350 small block. All engines run Holley 2-barrel carb. Both engines capable of about 400hp
Transmission - Richmond Super T-10 Plus (Z ratio for short tracks, S ratio for road courses)
Rear differential - many gears available.
Shocks/Dampers - JRi ST-08 non-adjustable racing shocks.
Tires - American Racer #J2LX4. 8"/20.32cm bead, 10.5"/26.67cm tread. Short Track tire has slight stagger. Road course tire has no stagger.

When you hit 60% tyres, you have worn through half the rubber to the cords. At 30% you start to have slightly exposed cords. At 0%, you are running on cords, no rubber left.

LEAGUE ADMINS;
You should setup your races for 25-75 laps. Preferably at late afternoon/dusk. Late Models are usually the feature races later in the night. The American Racer tires are becoming more popular at the local tracks because they lay down almost no rubber build up. So it is suggested that you set all sessions as "green track".

BUILT-INS;
Included default oval setups for; Dominion, Five Flags, Hickory, Joesville, Memphis, New Smyrna, North Wilkesboro & Toledo. by Mike Hebb
Included default road course setups for; Laguna Seca, Lime Rock Park, Loch Drummond, Mid-Ohio, MillsMetro-innerA&C, Montreal, MoSport, NOLA-Bcourse, Sardian100, Toban short, & Nurburgring. by Oka22

If at any point in the future you want or need someone to test physics on something, I used to drive these cars locally here, years ago. Feel free to msg me. Trying to find someone that is capable of plugging in what I can feel so others can get enjoyment out of a realistic experience.

The only problem I have is pitting on an oval. No tire change.

@Dean isn't that what happens when you try to use an oval setup on a road course?

Why does it have to be like that,can't you just fix it? And moving the brake bias forward doesn't help.
