Description
Is SPRT intercepting your cargo drones? Is "FSTC-Joe" mining YOUR platinum? Well not anymore!

Introducing the Super Caltrop! A solution to unwanted space-traffic the galaxy over!

When the Super Caltrop spots an enemy vessel, it splits apart, launching 12 anti-ship torpedoes, each determined to remove that pesky Ion Tug from your field of view! As an area denial tool, the Super Caltrop can ward off everything from small one-man vessels to larger ships with hundreds of passengers! Our top science-people concluded most pilots stay away from red, spiked, glowing, and unidentified objects in the deep of space. Especially when they fire missiles at them! Remember, the Super Caltrop is RED, and RED things are SCARY!

Simply obtain a set of blueprints from a reputable dealer, then load them in your printer. And look at that! In just moments your Super Caltrop is ready for deployment! Remember to lock the internal connectors in the group "Core Connectors", then fuel the Super Caltrop through the axial fuel cap. Use a ship of your choosing to place the Super Caltrop in a 0g environment, and viola! Super Caltrop, ready for action!

Whats that? Worried ol' "Gunbrick-Bill" might get some ideas, and take a grinder to your precious Super Caltrop? Not to worry! Watch the Super Caltrop's Anti-Tamper Gyroscope. Just like that, the Super Caltrop will take care of the rest! SORRY BILL!

The Super Caltrop has a lifespan of nearly 106 Hours! That's more than 100! We recommend placing the Super Caltrop in high-traffic zones to ensure its use before the batteries drain. When activated, the Super Caltrop's core batteries will begin discharging energy, meaning the spent mine won't linger on servers. You're welcome server admins! Additionally, when activated, the Super Caltrop will emit a high-range broadcast drawing opportunist players to its location. Ol' "Spin-to-Win-Walter" won't know what hit him! For those introverts among you, don't fret! The Super Caltrop also has a "Privacy Mode", meaning instead of emitting a public broadcast, it'll send YOU PERSONALLY its coordinates in the chat, alerting you the trap has been sprung! Switch between these 2 modes using an Action Relay on channels 50 and 51. Blue for "Beacon", Orange for "Only me"!

Super Caltrop, A solution to unwanted space-traffic the galaxy over!

This is a remake of a very old design of mine using the RDAV Missile Script that has taken the WS by storm. I got some additional script assistance by player BongoBazooka as well, which helped me adjust the script to suit my needs.

Everything is basically explained above, but in short:
-Print It
-Connect the connectors (Core Connectors)
-Fuel It
-Place It

Special Features:
-Anti-Tamper Gyro to make Hydromanning very difficult
-Public/Private mode. Public is good for making your victim's lives even worse, Private is good for base defense.
-Approximately 100 Hour Lifespan
-Automatic Battery Drain for Server Cleanup

-Scripts - 1
-Printable - Yes!
-DLC - A couple
-Mods - No!
-PCU - 10.9k

Rdav, this new script of yours has enabled a new type of build for me. I find vanilla weapons so boring, but find mods too decentralized. The prospect of a genuinely competitive PMW is very very exciting, so thanks!

cool!

Love the description, my dude. Written like a cheesy commercial. Hilarious stuff.

Also, the mine looks super dope. Now to just make a minelayer that's large enough to craft it and deploy it...

Just under 11k. Mind you, while all the pictures depict it in large clusters, a single mine can still do a lot of damage. Though, on most multiplayer servers with a low PCU count, scripts would be off anyways, right?

How much CPU cost ?

an alternative that doesn't require modifications to the script would be an event controller that detects if the locked target is under a certain range. The problem is that this would only detect the ship crossing the threshold, and is generally less consistent.

my friend BongoBazooka modified RDAV's script slightly so it fires the missiles when the associated offensive AI block achieves a lock.

in short, scripts
