Introduction
I'm Eerie[linktr.ee], and this is a mission-by-mission breakdown and story guide for Hitman: Codename 47 — the first entry in the Hitman franchise.

This guide includes all official mission briefings, objectives, intelligence, and target details preserved exactly as they appear in-game. I've also added a Plot Explanation section for each mission.
1. Prologue: Training
Mission Briefing
No briefing available.

Objectives
  • Obey the voice
  • Kill the staff member
  • Steal his clothes
  • Escape the area

Reward: None

Intelligence
No intelligence available.

Target
None.

Target Details
None.

Plot Explanation
You wake up strapped to a metal bed in a cold, windowless cell. You're barefoot, disoriented, and dressed only in a hospital gown. A voice echoes over an intercom — calm, encouraging, and disturbingly familiar. It welcomes you, unlocks your restraints, and tells you to “obey the voice.”

You are subject 47.

What follows is presented as training. You're guided through obstacle courses, taught to climb, sneak, shoot, and use disguises. You find a neatly folded black suit and red tie prepared just for you. The voice, still watching, praises your progress. You don’t know where you are or why you’re here — only that someone expects great things from you.

But this isn’t just a simulation.

By the end, you kill a facility staff member, take his clothes, and escape through a secure elevator. Somewhere, a man in shadow watches you on a monitor — amused, satisfied. It’s clear now: your "escape" was part of a larger plan.

This is where your story begins. You weren’t born — you were built. And someone has just set you loose.
2. Kowloon Triads in Gang War
Briefing
"Welcome to Hong Kong,

Enclosed in this download you will find information about your mission and a shopping list of weapons, gadgets and information that the agency is able to deliver.

For this mission we will give you your reward of $13,000 up front—spend it wisely. Remember that if the hit gets messy we will send a cleaner and deduct the money from your account.

Your mission in Hong Kong will be fairly complicated. The ultimate target is a triad leader named Lee Hong. He is too well guarded and even if you succeeded in eliminating him, chances are that you would not get out of Hong Kong alive. The agency has prepared a plan that will make Lee Hong lose his influence outside his mansion.

We will get back to you when you have completed your first mission."

—Diana Burnwood, Controller, The Agency

Mission Details
The two most powerful triads in Hong Kong, the Red Dragon and Blue Lotus, have arranged a meeting in Chiu Dai Park. The leader of the Red Dragon Triad, Mr. Lee Hong, has sent his chief negotiator to deal with the Blue Lotus Triad. Assassinating Hong's chief negotiator could trigger a war between Blue Lotus and Red Dragon. You must leave the area by making it to the rendezvous point.

Target
Red Dragon Negotiator
5' 10" High
190lbs.
34 years

Target Details
The target has a traditional red dragon insignia on the back of his jacket.
Because of the dangerous nature of his business, he is very paranoid and will flee at the slightest hint of trouble.
He will be picked up by the Blue Lotus somewhere in Hong Kong and arrive by car somewhere around the park.

Objectives
  • Eliminate Red Dragon Negotiator
  • Blue Lotus Emissary must survive
  • Escape to the rendezvous point

Reward: $13,000

Plot Explanation
After escaping the asylum where you were trained, you’re recruited by the International Contract Agency — a secretive organization that sells assassination services to clients around the world. They don’t ask questions about who you are or where you came from. You’re assigned a codename: 47.

Your first contract under the Agency takes you to Hong Kong. The ultimate objective is Lee Hong, the powerful and feared leader of the Red Dragon Triad. But he’s too well-protected to approach directly. Instead, the Agency has devised a long-term plan to weaken his position before making a move.

Two rival triads — the Red Dragon and the Blue Lotus — have arranged a secret peace meeting at Chiu Dai Park. You’re sent to assassinate the Red Dragon negotiator during the meeting and make it look like the Blue Lotus was responsible. The goal is to incite a gang war that will destabilize Lee Hong’s organization and eventually strip away his defenses.

You are ordered not to harm the Blue Lotus emissary. The assassination must look like a targeted betrayal. If the plan succeeds, Lee Hong will be drawn deeper into conflict — and one step closer to being exposed.
3. Ambush at the Wang Fou Restaurant
Briefing
Congratulations. The hit in Chiu Dai Park worked as planned.

The Blue Lotus Triad are terrified that Lee Hong is blaming them for the killing of his negotiator. They fear a war between the triads.

We have received information that the Blue Lotus Triad will send an emissary to the Lee Hong's restaurant to apologize. An assassination of the emissary and his bodyguards will look like a counter hit from Lee Hong.

Diana Burnwood, controller, The Agency

Objectives
  • Eliminate Blue Lotus Emissary
  • Kill all Blue Lotus Triad members
  • Return to the rendezvous point
Reward: $12,000

Mission Details
The Blue Lotus Emissary and three bodyguards will be arriving in an armored limousine, at Lee Hong's restaurant. They have been sent to apologize and explain the events at Chiu Dai Park.
The meeting will take place inside the restaurant which is closed at that time. We suggest you place a remote triggered bomb in the limousine during the meeting. The car bomb is designed to be placed beneath the driver's seat.
The Blue Lotus has placed guards at a distance from the restaurant. They must be eliminated.

Target
Blue Lotus Emissary
5' 8" High
185lbs.
58 years

Target Details
Very little is known about the mysterious blue lotus triad. It is one of the ancient triads, its origins lost in the mists of time. Draped in dark blue, the triad members blend into the night carrying out crimes in secrecy.

Plot Explanation
The assassination of the Red Dragon negotiator at Chiu Dai Park has had the desired effect. The Blue Lotus Triad, desperate to avoid retaliation, has arranged a meeting with Lee Hong’s men to explain their innocence. The Agency now pushes the plan further: frame Lee Hong as the aggressor.

This time, you’re sent to eliminate the Blue Lotus emissary and his bodyguards during the apology meeting at the Wang Fou Restaurant — Red Dragon territory. Your goal is to make it appear that Lee Hong has struck back in revenge. If successful, this second blow will escalate tensions into open war between the two triads.

The Blue Lotus arrive by limousine and enter the restaurant. You’re advised to plant a car bomb during the meeting and detonate it afterward — a clean and theatrical execution. All guards near the restaurant must be eliminated, and the Blue Lotus emissary must not survive.

The Agency’s plan is working. With every move, Lee Hong’s power base crumbles — and your real target edges closer to exposure.
4. The Massacre at Cheung Chau Fish Restaurant
Briefing
The hit on the Blue Lotus Triad has triggered a full-scale war between the triads. The district police chief, being on both triad's payroll, is quite concerned with the current predicament.

A truce meeting between the two triads has been arranged by the police chief. The meeting takes place on neutral ground in a small Chinese fish restaurant. If this mission is success, Lee Hong will be within your grasp.

Diana Burnwood, controller, The Agency

Objectives
  • Eliminate the Red Dragon Negotiator
  • Hide the body of the Red Dragon Negotiator
  • Eliminate the Chief of Police
  • Place a Red Dragon Amulet inside the restaurant
  • Escape to the rendezvous point

Reward: $15,000

Mission Details
The meeting will take place at the Cheng Chau Fish Restaurant, which is located on neutral ground. Taking out the Chief of Police in this place will expand the conflict and lift the police protection of Lee Hong.
You must therefore make sure that any survivors or witnesses believe that Lee Hong instigated the killing. Dressing up as a Red Dragon member could do the trick.
Leave a Red Dragon Amulet inside the restaurant in order to further incriminate Lee Hong's triad. Lee Hong's negotiator will be carrying an amulet you can use.

Target

Chief of Police
6' High
210lbs.
58 years

Short hair. Gray on the sides. Police uniform.

Target Details
The Chief of Police has been on the Triads' payroll for many years. There is a delicate balance between the Hong Kong families. Thanks to the effort expended by the Chief of Police, this balance is maintained. He is the linchpin, securing a stable situation with two equally powerful Triads in the same area.
None of the Triads wish him replaced with a new, incorruptible hardliner who is not familiar with the Triad traditional rules.

Plot Explanation
With both triads now at each other’s throats, the situation in Hong Kong has escalated into open warfare — just as planned. But Lee Hong still isn’t vulnerable. The Red Dragon Triad retains powerful protection from the local authorities, particularly the Chief of Police, who is paid off by both factions to maintain balance.

To strip that protection, the Agency assigns you a final move: eliminate the Chief of Police during a truce meeting he’s brokered between the two triads. The meeting takes place at the Cheung Chau Fish Restaurant — neutral ground. Your mission is to make it appear that Lee Hong’s men orchestrated the assassination.

To sell the deception, you’re instructed to disguise yourself as a Red Dragon member and use an amulet carried by the Red Dragon negotiator to leave behind as evidence. Both the negotiator and the Chief must die. The body of the negotiator must be hidden — no loose ends, no witnesses, no doubts.

If successful, the police will sever their ties to Lee Hong, removing the last line of protection between him and you. The trap is nearly closed.
5. The Lee Hong Assassination
Briefing
Good job.

The plan is working. The police have withdrawn their protection of Lee Hong, and many of his connections are scared. Lee Hong is now accessible, but it still remains quite a challenge – Hong has a small army to protect him.

This mission will be very complex. Take your time and explore the location before committing to action. Best wishes.

Diana Burnwood, Controller, The Agency

Objectives
  • Find safe combination
  • Find safe location
  • Deliver Jade Figure to herbal shop
  • Eliminate Lee Hong
  • Captured agent must survive
  • Escape to rendezvous point

Reward: $15,000

Mission Details
Our customer wants Lee Hong dead, and the Jade Figure that empowers him.
This figure is very valuable, both in terms of money and symbolism. Locate this artifact and bring it to the clerk in the herbal shop inside the restaurant. He will know what to do with it.
Intelligence has informed that one agent is missing during the undercover work at Lee Hong's restaurant. His last report described a vast tunnel complex beneath the restaurant. We believe that he is being held hostage somewhere down there. We have transferred all info to your map.
Lee Hong runs a brothel on the second floor. It has been marked on your map. Lee Hong's appetite for women may be one of his weak spots.
When the Triad have been alarmed they will seal off the whole area. Use Lee Hong's speedboat to get into clear waters where a pickup has been arranged for you.

Target
  • Lee Hong: Leader of the Red Dragon Triad.
  • Jade Figure: Precious and extremely rare old artifact from Huang period. The figure is about 10" tall, depicting a dragon.

Target Details
Lee Hong: Served in the French Foreign Legion for five years in Vietnam, before returning to Hong Kong. Two weeks after his arrival he poisoned his uncle and stepped in his shoes as the leader of the Red Dragon Triad. Has ruled large parts of Hong Kong for three decades. Is known publicly as "The man with no conscience".

Jade Figure: Made by the famous Chinese sculptor Ling Chau Min in the 14th century. Supposed to possess magical properties – has been the symbol of power for a dynastic lineage of Chinese rulers through the times. The figure is hidden somewhere in the complex of the Cheng Chau restaurant.

Plot Explanation
Everything has led to this. Through carefully orchestrated hits and misdirection, the Red Dragon Triad has been plunged into war, its alliances shattered, and its protection removed. The Chief of Police is dead. The triads are in chaos. Now, your true target — Lee Hong — is finally vulnerable.

Lee Hong has retreated to his fortified compound, hidden behind the Wang Fou Restaurant. Though weakened, the Red Dragons remain dangerous. Hong is protected by a private army and his trusted bodyguard, Tzun. Getting in and out won’t be easy.

Your objectives are twofold: eliminate Lee Hong and retrieve a valuable Jade Figure, a symbolic artifact of importance to the client. The figure must be delivered to a contact inside the restaurant’s herbal shop. Intelligence also suggests that an Agency operative went missing while undercover here — he may be held somewhere in the tunnel systems beneath the compound.

Lee Hong’s brothel, located on the second floor, may offer an exploitable weakness. But once the alarm is raised, the entire compound will go on lockdown. Your only extraction option is Hong’s private speedboat, moored at the back of the estate.

This is the culmination of the Hong Kong operation. You’ve dismantled Lee Hong’s empire — now you finish it.
6. Find the U'wa Tribe
Briefing
Welcome to Colombia.

Your next target is the Colombian Drug Lord, Pablo Belisario Ochoa. Our customer wants to terminate his command.

The exact location of Pablo's camp is unknown, but you will be inserted into an area that should be close. The area is patrolled by Pablo's army, so avoid contact unless you are sure you can terminate without alarming the camp.

Pablo uses artifacts as a cover for his drug transportation. We know that one of his planes crashed a few days ago. On board the plane was a stolen religious idol. Returning this idol to the local tribe might endear you with them. We would be surprised if they did not know an alternate route to Pablo's camp.

Diana Burnwood, Controller, The Agency

Objectives
  • Secure religious idol
  • Bring idol to the Indian village
  • Rescue the Chief's brother from soldiers on the bridge

Reward: $5,000

Mission Details
Locate the crashed airplane and examine the wreck. The cargo consists of sacred statues, stolen from local Indian tribes. Some of these idols have been hollowed out for drug smuggling. The plane was used to transport these ancient artifacts, now crammed with drugs.
One of the golden idols is especially important to a local tribe. Locate the idol and deliver it to the Tribe Chief.

Target
Golden Idol
Abt. 20" High
Abt. 40 lbs

Target Details
Golden Idol
Origin unknown, believed to be prehistoric artifact. The idol depicts a rainforest deity, purportedly vital for the tribe's fertility and survival in the forest. Its origin is lost, but legend has it that it symbolizes an event that took place in prehistoric times.

Plot Explanation
With the Hong Kong contract fulfilled, The Agency assigns you a new mission in South America. Your target is Pablo Belisario Ochoa — a powerful Colombian drug lord. A client has hired The Agency to eliminate him and dismantle his operation.

Ochoa’s compound is hidden deep in the jungle, and its exact location is unknown. You’re deployed nearby to gather intel and make contact with the local U’wa tribe, who may know how to reach the camp.

One of Ochoa’s smuggling planes recently crashed in the area. It was transporting hollowed-out religious idols filled with narcotics. Among the wreckage is a golden idol sacred to the U’wa tribe. By recovering and returning the artifact, you may earn their trust.

In addition, the tribe’s chief requests your help rescuing his brother, who is being held captive by Ochoa’s forces at a guarded bridge.

This mission is about building trust. Complete these tasks, and the path to your target may be revealed.
7. The Jungle God
Briefing
The Indian tribe knows a secret passage to Pablo's camp. It is a small hidden tunnel through the mountains. The passage is guarded by what the Indians call "Tezcatlipoca", the god of death. We have a video that proves that this "god" is merely a very large jaguar. But that does not make it any less dangerous.

Diana Burnwood, Controller, The Agency

Objectives
None listed.

Reward: None

Mission Details
Find the secret passage to the drug lord's camp. A hungry jaguar guards the secret passage.
Do not kill the jaguar. It is a holy beast to the Indian tribe. Find another way to get past it.

Target
No details available. We have found some footage though. Check out the video.

Target Details
Not much is known about the jaguar on the footage. The Indians believe it is a god. They call it Tezcatlipoca, the god of death. There are rumors of sacrifices being made to 'Tezcatlipoca'.

Plot Explanation
After recovering the sacred idol and rescuing the tribe chief’s brother, the U’wa have accepted you as an ally. In return, they reveal a secret: a hidden tunnel through the mountains that leads directly to Pablo Ochoa’s jungle compound. It’s the only known path past his patrols — but it’s guarded.

The passage is watched over by what the tribe calls Tezcatlipoca, their god of death — in reality, a large and highly territorial jaguar. Though the Agency confirms it’s just an animal, the tribe reveres it as a holy beast. Killing it would break their trust and risk your mission.

You’ll need to find a non-lethal way to distract or bypass the jaguar and access the tunnel. This is not a mission for brute force — it’s about precision, patience, and respect. Do it right, and you’ll be one step away from eliminating your target.
8. Say Hello to My Little Friend
Briefing
The camp is now just a few feet away from you. Be careful. It is very well guarded. Once inside the camp you should be able to find plenty of weapons and ammunition.

Diana Burnwood, Controller, The Agency

Objectives
  • Eliminate the Drug Lord
  • Blow up the laboratory
  • Use the airplane to escape

Reward: $30,000

Mission Details
Your mission is to eliminate the drug lord, and destroy his drug laboratory. The camp is heavily guarded by soldiers, and the drug lord himself is rumored to be extremely dangerous.
Explosives are very likely to be found inside Pablo's mansion. Use those to destroy the lab. There is a landing strip inside the camp. Find a plane and use it to escape.

Target
Pablo Belisario Ochoa
Colombian Drug Lord
6' High
190 lbs
Abt. 65 years

Target Details
Pablo Belisario Ochoa was born in Cali, Colombia, in 1930. He had two choices – roll over and die, or become wise to the tricks of the trade in crime-infested Cali.
At the age of 18, he already had several convictions, as well as being charged with the manslaughter of a rival who was interested in his girl. Exploiting his already vast network of connections, he managed to kill the judge and escape to France, where he joined the French Foreign Legion.

After serving his contract with the Legion, he went back to Colombia in 1955 and started to build up his own criminal empire. As a consequence of extremely bloody battles between the Colombian cartels, Ochoa was forced to retreat to a stronghold in the rainforest.
People in the region are convinced that Ochoa has nine lives. All efforts to catch or kill him have failed.

Plot Explanation
After bypassing the jaguar guarding the mountain tunnel, you finally reach Pablo Ochoa’s jungle compound — the heart of his drug empire. Heavily fortified and crawling with armed soldiers, this is where your mission comes to a head.

The Agency’s client has ordered not only Ochoa’s assassination but also the destruction of his drug operation. Inside the camp is a lab producing large-scale narcotics shipments. You’re expected to eliminate Ochoa and then rig the lab with explosives — most of which can be found in his mansion.

Ochoa himself is no common drug lord. A former French Foreign Legionnaire with a violent past, he is battle-tested and extremely dangerous. Underestimating him would be a fatal mistake.

Once both objectives are complete, you’ll escape via a plane stationed at the camp’s landing strip. This is a full strike — a direct hit to cut the head off an international drug operation.

The mission is clear: finish what you started in Colombia.
9. Traditions of the Trade
Briefing
Welcome to Budapest.

At the Thermal Bath Hotel in Budapest, a peace summit is being held. Attending are all the leaders of the world's great nations, and naturally, the renowned hotel is swarming with security.

None of these notabilities are your target. The Austrian terrorist, Frantz Fuchs, is planning to blow up the hotel. If successful, it will change the world forever.

Frantz Fuchs is your target. Normally we would not care about the leaders, but preventing the attack will make us popular with many governments and could mean a new clientele for our business.

Our customer has requested the bomb, so you have to take it out of the hotel.

Diana Burnwood, Controller, The Agency

Objectives
  • Kill Frantz Fuchs
  • Kill Fritz Fuchs
  • Retrieve Chemical Bomb
  • Escape with Chemical Bomb

Mission Details
Our customer wants terrorist Frantz Fuchs dead and the special chemical bomb that he is planning to use at the hotel.
Frantz Fuchs has arrived at the hotel several days before the convention. He will probably check in under the assumed name Heinrich Wulff. It is very unlikely that Fuchs is hiding the bomb in his hotel room, so you must do some investigation to find some clues.
Metal detectors have been placed at all checkpoints in the hotel, but it is a big hotel, and our intelligence has found out that not all routes are blocked.
Investigate the hotel to find a safe escape route. The usual pickup will be waiting for you at the rendezvous point.

Target
Frantz Fuchs
Abt. 64 years
6' High
220 lbs
Highly trained terrorist. Ruthless and relentless.

Target Details
Frantz Fuchs was born in Linz, Austria, in 1929. During the Second World War, he was encouraged by his father to join different youth organizations which gave him a uniform, instilled hatred in his mind, and supplied guns to play with. He had the thrill of his life for as long as it lasted — but his whole world crumbled when the Nazis were crushed by the Allied forces.

Young Frantz, feeling the noose tightening around his neck, fled to Marseilles, where he joined the French Foreign Legion. Back in his true element, he soon rose through the ranks, improving his childhood skills to become an explosives expert and stealthy assassin.
After leaving the army in 1955, he established a worldwide reputation as one of the world’s most dangerous mercenaries. During these years, he has kept contact with his Legionnaire buddies.

Plot Explanation
With Pablo Ochoa eliminated and his compound in ruins, The Agency quickly reassigns you. This time, the contract takes you to Europe — Budapest, Hungary — where a peace summit is underway at the prestigious Thermal Bath Hotel. The event has drawn the world’s most powerful leaders and, with them, layers of high-level security.

You’re not there for diplomacy.

Your new target is Frantz Fuchs, an Austrian terrorist who’s planning to detonate a chemical bomb during the summit. If successful, the attack would have catastrophic global consequences. The client has two objectives: eliminate Fuchs and retrieve the bomb before it can be used.

Fuchs is operating under an alias and is known for extreme caution. You’ll need to search the hotel carefully, navigate past security checkpoints, and avoid metal detectors. The Agency advises using alternate routes — not all entrances are monitored.

This mission marks a shift. Most contracts serve the interests of unseen clients. This one serves the world at large. The Agency sees an opportunity: stop Fuchs, and new, powerful clients may come calling.
10. Gunrunner's Paradise
Briefing
Welcome to Rotterdam. Your next target is the man who supplied Lee Hong and Pablo with weapons, the notorious gunrunner Arkadij Jegorov, aka Boris. Boris is hiding on his ship somewhere in the harbor of Rotterdam, but we do not know the exact location. We have information that a local Dutch gang has arranged to purchase some of Boris's merchandise. By tracking them, we might be able to locate the ship.

Our intelligence department has stumbled across a weird fact that you should know. It seems that Lee Hong, Boris, Frantz Fuchs, and Pablo all served in the French Legion together. If that is a coincidence, it is one weird coincidence...

Diana Burnwood, Controller, The Agency

Objectives
  • Place GPS tracker in the gang car
  • Move GPS tracker to the money suitcase
  • Give the suitcase to Ivan

Reward: $50,000

Mission Details
The Dutch gang is meeting with Ivan somewhere in the harbor area. We do not know exactly where. The gang's hideout place is a small strip joint.
Place a GPS transmitter in the gang's car, and follow the car to the meeting place. Eliminate all gang members at the meeting, before Ivan shows up. Make sure Ivan does not see any dead bodies. He is very cautious and will abort the meeting at any suspicious sign.
Pick up the GPS transmitter from the car and place it in the suitcase carrying the money for Ivan. Make sure Ivan picks up the suitcase. Hopefully Ivan will return straight to Boris with the money, revealing his hideout to us.

Target
Ivan Zilvanovitch
Abt. 50 years
5' 2" high
180 lbs

Sturdy and composed. A real hardcore criminal.

Target Details
Ivan Zilvanovitch began his long criminal career as a rather poor pickpocket in the streets of Moscow. Gambling debts and drug addiction sent him further down into the gutter. He decided to take his own life.
But as with everything else up till now in his life, he failed. He jumped too late from a bridge, landed on the roof of a railway wagon, and crashed through into the middle of a heap of props belonging to a travelling circus.

Overwhelmed by the irony of it all, he started to laugh a diabolical laughter — now his trademark in the Russian underworld. The incident changed his life — he believed himself to be immortal and joined the circus as a daredevil clown, slowly working his way up to finally control the whole circus. He uses the circus as a front for his gun trafficking.

Plot Explanation
Following the Budapest assignment, the pattern becomes clear: Lee Hong, Pablo Ochoa, Frantz Fuchs — all high-profile criminals, all connected, and now all dead. The Agency traces the link between them to one man: Arkadij Jegorov, an international arms dealer known as “Boris.”

Your next contract is to eliminate Boris. But first, you need to locate him.

Intel places Boris somewhere in the Rotterdam harbor, operating from a ship. His current whereabouts are unknown, but one of his couriers — Ivan Zilvanovitch — is scheduled to meet with a local Dutch gang to complete a weapons deal. Your mission is to sabotage that deal without Ivan noticing.

You’re instructed to plant a GPS tracker in the gang’s car, tail it to the meeting point, and eliminate all gang members before Ivan arrives. Then, recover the GPS unit and hide it in the suitcase filled with payment. If Ivan picks it up, he’ll lead The Agency straight to Boris’s hidden location.

Adding to the mystery, The Agency uncovers a disturbing connection: Boris, along with Lee Hong, Ochoa, and Fuchs, all served in the French Foreign Legion — and were in active communication before their deaths. Whether coincidence or design, this mission is more than just an arms dealer takedown. Something bigger is unfolding.
11. Plutonium Runs Loose
Briefing
Well done. The GPS you "sold" to Ivan led us to Boris.

We have to move fast. Boris is getting ready to leave Rotterdam! You will be inserted next to the quay where Boris's ship is located. The area is locked off and the gates are guarded.

Note: We have last-minute information that there might be a nuke on board the ship! The model is old, so you should be able to disarm it if necessary.

Diana Burnwood, Controller, The Agency

Objectives
  • Eliminate Boris
  • Nuke must be disarmed
  • Take ship on international waters

Reward: $75,000

Mission Details
The Agency has tracked down Boris's ship to Dock 45 and we know that he is on board. You must board the ship and eliminate Boris.

Boris is carrying a nuke on board the ship. It is most likely well hidden and Boris might even arm it if he feels threatened. Take control of the ship and start the engines from the bridge. Then steer the boat to a designated meeting point in international waters.
We have information about a small arms depot in the harbor. Locate it and see if you can use any of it.

Target
Arkadij Jegorov, aka "Boris"
Abt. 66 years
6' high
240 lbs

Well-known international gunrunner. Extremely paranoid and a known drug user.

Target Details
Arkadij Jegorov was born in Semipalatinsk, Kazakhstan in 1930. Growing up in very poor circumstances, constantly controlled and monitored by local and loyal apparatchiks, he learned to hate the Communist regime.
At the age of 15, he began to steal weapons and ammunition from the Soviets, which he then sold to the Cossack nationalists. When his father turned him in to the police, he hid in the mountains and eventually made his way to Marseilles.
He served five years in the French Foreign Legion from 1950–1955. In late 1955, he established a gunrunning route through Turkey and Iran. He sold arms to anyone in the Soviet Union fighting the regime.
In the mid-1980s, he went into business with the Russian Mafia and scaled up his operations to cover most of the world.

Plot Explanation
The GPS tracker planted during the Rotterdam arms deal has worked. Ivan Zilvanovitch unknowingly led The Agency straight to Arkadij Jegorov — known as Boris — who is now preparing to flee the harbor aboard his heavily guarded ship.

Your mission is urgent: infiltrate the dock, eliminate Boris, and neutralize any further threats. But new intelligence raises the stakes — Boris is transporting a live nuclear weapon aboard the ship. If cornered, he may try to arm it. You’ll need to disarm the bomb before it can be triggered, or the consequences could be catastrophic.

Once Boris is dead and the threat neutralized, you're instructed to take control of the vessel and navigate it to a pickup point in international waters. Weapons may be found in a nearby harbor depot if needed, but time is limited.

With Boris eliminated, every major figure you've been sent to kill — Lee Hong, Pablo Ochoa, Frantz Fuchs, and now Boris — is confirmed to have military ties and a shared past in the French Foreign Legion. Their connection is no longer a coincidence.

You’re not just ending isolated threats anymore. You're dismantling something much larger.
12. The Setup
Briefing
The Agency is in turmoil.

Our intelligence department is working on a theory that the customers for your last four hits are actually just one person! As I wrote you earlier, we normally won't take part in larger wars. But it turns out that this one customer is very powerful. So powerful that the board of directors has accepted another mission from him.

This was done under the condition that it was the last contract and that another of our agents did the job. The customer accepted the first condition, but refused the second — and the board gave in on that. The customer only wants you! That is understandable considering your track record, but it reeks.

The next level is very simple so do me a favor — stay cool no matter what happens!

Diana Burnwood, Controller, The Agency

Objectives
  • Eliminate Doctor Kovacs

Reward: $100,000

Mission Details
Access a psychiatric hospital under an assumed name, and eliminate a Doctor Kovacs. This is a high-security mental hospital, so you are not allowed to carry any firearms.

Target
Dr. Odon Kovacs
Abt. 50 years
5'10" high
180 lbs

Target Details
Dr. Kovacs has been working at the hospital ever since he finished his studies in medicine at the University of Bucharest. He has specialized in subconscious mind control and behavioral sciences, and went to work on psychiatric hospital subjects.

Plot Explanation
With the deaths of Lee Hong, Pablo Ochoa, Frantz Fuchs, and Arkadij Jegorov, a disturbing pattern emerges. Though their crimes varied — drugs, arms, terror — all four targets had one thing in common: a shared past in the French Foreign Legion. They knew each other. They were connected.

The Agency begins to suspect that the client behind all four hits may, in fact, be the same individual — someone orchestrating these assassinations from the shadows. Despite serious internal concerns, the board accepts one last contract from this mysterious customer. The job: eliminate a doctor named Odon Kovacs, inside a Romanian psychiatric hospital.

The customer insists that only you — Agent 47 — can perform the hit.

You’re sent in under an alias, stripped of your usual weapons. The facility is under heavy security, and you're forbidden from carrying firearms. The Agency advises you to stay calm and follow protocol. But once inside, everything goes wrong.

The hospital isn’t what it seems. It's a front — the outer shell of something far more sinister. The moment you enter, Romanian Special Forces are mobilized. You've walked into a trap.

This is no contract. It’s a setup.
13. Meet Your Brother
Briefing
No briefing available.

Objectives
None listed.

Reward: None

Mission Details
None provided.

Target
None explicitly marked.

Target Details
None officially provided.

Plot Explanation
Everything has led back to where it began — the asylum.

After the ambush at the psychiatric hospital, you discover a hidden underground facility beneath the institution. It is a secret lab belonging to Dr. Otto Wolfgang Ort-Meyer — the voice who once guided your training, the man who designed you.

Ort-Meyer was the true client behind your previous contracts. He orchestrated the deaths of Lee Hong, Pablo Ochoa, Frantz Fuchs, and Arkadij Jegorov — not to eliminate threats to the world, but to erase witnesses to his experiment. All four were collaborators in a genetic conspiracy, connected by their time in the French Foreign Legion and their involvement in the human cloning project that produced you.

You are not alone in the lab. Ort-Meyer, anticipating your arrival, unleashes a wave of Number 48 clones — your “brothers.” These are loyal, enhanced versions of yourself, bred to obey without question. You must defeat them all to reach Ort-Meyer.

As you navigate the sterile, inhuman corridors of the lab, Ort-Meyer taunts you over the intercom. He rants about your rebellion, your imperfection, and the vision he had for humanity’s future. When you finally confront him, you face a choice — end the cycle or become part of it.

This mission is not just about eliminating a target. It’s about confronting your origin, rejecting control, and breaking free from the man who made you.

This is the end of the contract — and the beginning of your own path.
14. Master Plot
You are Agent 47 — a genetically engineered assassin created in a secret lab beneath a Romanian asylum. Born from DNA spliced from criminal masterminds and military elites, you were raised as the perfect killer under the control of your creator, Dr. Otto Wolfgang Ort-Meyer.

The game begins with 47 escaping the asylum. His “training” turns out to be part of a larger plan — Ort-Meyer has intentionally set him loose. After escaping, 47 is recruited by the International Contract Agency (ICA), an organization that sells assassination services globally. Unaware of his true origin, 47 begins accepting contracts, each designed to eliminate one of Ort-Meyer’s former partners in the cloning project.

His assignments take him across the world:

  • In Hong Kong, he dismantles the Red Dragon Triad from the inside, culminating in the assassination of its leader, Lee Hong.

  • In Colombia, he destroys a jungle cartel and kills its leader, Pablo Ochoa.

  • In Hungary, he stops a terrorist bombing by eliminating Frantz Fuchs.

  • In Rotterdam, he tracks down and assassinates arms dealer Arkadij “Boris” Jegorov, who’s transporting a nuclear weapon.

All four targets — Hong, Ochoa, Fuchs, and Boris — were part of Ort-Meyer’s inner circle and co-conspirators in the cloning experiment that created 47. Their deaths were orchestrated by Ort-Meyer himself, who used 47 to remove the last loose ends.

The final two missions return to Romania. The Agency sends 47 to a mental hospital under suspicious circumstances. There, he's ambushed by special forces and realizes he's been betrayed. He descends into the asylum’s hidden underground lab and uncovers the truth: Ort-Meyer was the one pulling the strings all along.

Ort-Meyer releases a wave of obedient clone soldiers — Number 48s — to kill 47. After defeating them, 47 finally confronts his creator and kills him, breaking free from the experiment that defined his existence.

Hitman: Codename 47 is the story of a man manufactured to kill, manipulated into erasing his own origins — and ultimately choosing his own path.
