Hover BLTD Edition - Game Patch

Description
Hover BLTD Edition adds many new features and fixes to the base game.
Features & fixes:
- Access to all DLC content (new DNA Kits and Hypets)
- Jackpots on E-Swap machines give a 5x reward
- A new /tutorial command which lets you teleport back to the tutorial map
- Improved mission loading times
- Extended Mission startup timer
- More items in the Mission Editor
- Removed delay from character switching
- Fixed loading custom missions with a large amount of objects
- Fixed Chip numbers being displayed incorrectly and inconsistently
- Latebounces: do a bounce right after landing to get a latebounce. Latebounces will give you more horizontal, but less vertical momentum than a regular bounce.
- A new /breakdance command to start breakdancing at will
- Added a jukebox to play the game's soundtracks. Use the /play command to play any song from Hover OST
- E-Cops are ANGRIER
- The E-Swaps for pet food and specific chips in the Sewers HQ will no longer be randomly closed, and can be used infinitely
- Added a "/starter bonus" command which can be used right after creating a new character for a free level from DarkGamer!
- Added a "/real shade" command which can enable/disable more realistic shadows and lighting. /real shade 1 to enable and /real shade 0 to disable it
- Another mysterious new cheat command is rumored to be added... I wonder what it is, or what it does..
- E-Swaps can now be swapped with 9 times (Hypet E-Swaps are still only usable 12 times)
- Veelan's max running speed has been increased to 55, allowing for naturally faster speeds without a major focus on speed chips/hypets
- Unlockable DNA Kit for Holotello (To unlock it, you must have completed Otello's Haven missions and collected every gamegirl)
- Added /region command which can be used to change servers between EU, US, AUS, and JP servers. You will always connect to the EU server by default. To change, run for example: /region us
- Added advanced controls to the Mission Editor while holding an object: (Mouse3 = NoClip, Mouse4 = AirBrake, Mouse5 = NoGravity)
- Added QuickChat: use numbers 1-4 to choose a quickchat category, and then press a number to select one of the quickchats shown on screen
- Some Containers give more Chips
- BouncyBall: when creating a custom GameBall mission, you can add [BB] to the mission name to change the GameBall into its bouncier version!
- Added a /setspawn command, which can be used to set your spawn point at your current location! Alternatives: /checkpoint and /cp
- Added a /home command, which teleports you to your locabox point or custom spawn point if you have set one with /setspawn. Alternatives: /retry, /r
- Added a /skybox command, which teleports you to the skybox
- All pet foods now give 100% satiety and 100% satisfaction
- 10x increase to pet satiety. This means your pet will get hungry much slower than before
- Added timestamps for chat messages (based on your system time)
- Pressing RMB will skip all dialog with an NPC
- Reduced spray charge time from 2s to 1s
- Increased character cap on chat messages to 500
- Displays a warning message if you go beyond chat character cap in a single message
- Profanity filter is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ disabled
- Each player now has a randomized custom colour in chat
- New character mechanic: Pres 'V' to drop the ball at any time (ball keeps its momentum)
- New character mechanic: Press 'CTRL' to do a dash in the direction you are currently moving, at the cost of energy
- Rewind distance is 2x longer
- Chat log is now 2x longer
- Added a /find command which can be used to find any player in your lobby. Selecting a player will point your camera towards them
- All pet tiers give an equivalent boost as red tier, meaning all pet tiers are equally good! This is so you can use a different tier pet for aesthetic purposes.
- Added a /credits command which shows the list of BLTD developers
- When in a mission, player nametags are the same color as their team (blue or red)
- Player nametags can now be enabled/disabled using the /nametags command, which is great for hide & seek! Example: /nametags off
- Hoverlight is now configurable: You can turn the player light (body & trail) on/off for yourself, other players or all players using the /hoverlight command. Example: /hoverlight off own
- Hoverlight change isn't enabled by default, but if you want to enable/disable it, you can use the /lightfix command to do so. Example: /lightfix on
- Fixed crash when pressing the "Report a Bug" button
- Fixed the game not being able to detect downloaded workshop content automatically
- Added Custom Map support: use the /maps command to load a map and get teleported to it, and the /unload command to unload it. Note that you can load multiple maps simultaneously. Some maps are incompatible with eachother and trying to load them simultaneously may lead to weird results. To avoid this, always /unload your current map first before selecting a new map with /maps
- Added a /spawn command, which teleports you to the current map's default spawn point (if you want to go to your world's spawn e.g. Haven District, use /return or /worldspawn)
- Added a /removespawn command, which can be used to remove your spawn point from your current map. This will essentially set your spawn point to the map's default spawn point (alternative: /rmspawn)
- Added a /reloadmap command, which can be used to reload your current custom map, then teleports you back to the position in which you ran the command.
- Fixed issue where wallslide animation would look wonky if you initiate the slide with your back facing a wall
- Fixed bug where going to main menu and back into the game would cause you to stay offline
- Fixed bug with how minimum required ground/wallslide velocity was checked
- Fixed slippery surfaces
- Fixed bug with rewind energy clamping check
- Wallslide initiation now only requires you to have a wall next to you, making transitioning onto walls feel slightly smoother as you can now face any direction except straight forward while doing so
- Custom Mission support for Custom Maps
- Source-like air strafing while scanning
- Added a /togglestrafe command which can be used to toggle the afformentioned air strafing off/on
- Completing timed missions shows the finish time in mission results
- Restored old rewind functionality. You start moving instantly when releasing the rewind button. Can be toggled using the /delayrewind command

Installation instructions:
1. Subscribe to this workshop item
2. Copy the file from steamapps/workshop/content/280180/3477452227/Patch/Patch.dll to steamapps/common/Hover/Hover_Data/Managed/
3. Delete or rename the Assembly-CSharp.dll file which is inside that Managed directory
4. Rename Patch.dll to Assembly-CSharp.dll
5. Launch the game

Enable auto updates:
After launching the game once, you will get a new "update_game" file in your steamapps/common/Hover directory. This can be used to automatically update your game.

To enable automatic updates, put the following into your game's launch options:
- On Windows: update_game.bat 3477452227 %command%
- On Linux: bash update_game.sh && %command%

Now whenever you launch the game, updates will be automatically installed if any have been downloaded.

FAQ:

Q: What to do when I have the automatic updates enabled but I still don't have the new patch?
A: Restart Steam. That should force steam to download workshop updates immediately. If that doesn't work, try unsubscribing and pressing the subscribe button again. This also should force steam to download the latest update.

When I start the game, the main menu UI is completely missing. Is there something I did wrong? I followed the installation instructions.

Also the mod implementation is super simple to set up and works, No errors, but I will say the launch options for Linux did cause my game to instantly crash until I removed them., Still the mod worked though, no error popups or anything. Those who are saying it doesn't work either didn't read the page and thought steam workshop works like a mod loader without manually requiring configuration like this one.

I don't mind the skills, I can comprehend them, they're fairly simple to understand but doing builds for the game just seems nonsensical. This mod should be labeled as the fusionfix for this game. Incredible work friends, you just made this game even better. The developers should reach out to you to implement it as this as it's purely a core improvement and patches a few bugs that are annoying. I really wish more people would play this, they're really missing out. Thank you for making this mod for such a niche game, You didn't have to but you made other players experiences better with it. Wish the team all the best, good luck on future projects friends. 2/2

Not enough people are giving this a review so I'll speak for everyone liking the mod and say thank you for this amazing mod. Not only does the game feel smoother but it also fixed many issues like some chests not being hackable because the game is for some reason not registering the box as scanable in vanilla. Also streamlining the skill system is really good, I always felt vanilla made it oddly complex for people who have never played an RPG and wanted a jump right in experience like most JSR fans. 1/2

I followed install instructions but when I boot up the game, there is no prompt to press start and the screen is just the main menu background D:

Can we have a dash and drop ball button for our controller homies? LT for dash and down on d-pad for ball drop could be sick

Yes, players with patched game play on same servers as players that didn't install the patch.
As for save file data corruption, it basically shouldn't happen.

Sorry, I'm a new player, could you explain about the application of this update online, can the game be played on the same official server? Can the data be corrupted if it is installed and uninstalled after some time?
