Description

Darkspot Industries - Sevastopol Station
We proudly present to you the famous Sevastopol Station from Alien: Isolation.
Originally constructed in SE1, Sevastopol Station has now been imported and given a fresh look—one that brings it even closer to its well-known Alien: Isolation version.

⚠️Trailer represents the SE1 version and not the current!⚠️

Sevastopol Station was designed as a habitation, mining, and refinery station to support the people of the Almagest System, ensuring a smooth start. It was originally constructed in orbit around Delfos, a brown dwarf and the second star of Almagest. However, the station soon encountered some difficulties.
The blueprint, dating back 10,000 years, wasn't designed for Almagest's current state and required significant modifications. Colonists had to get creative and improvise in several areas to make it fully operational. As a result, the station's opening was delayed by a few years.

The Next Step:
In my latest update, I upgraded several areas of the Engineering Platform to SE2 standards. However, one area remains untouched.
In the SE1 version, the Spaceflight Terminal served as the main lobby, featuring huge windows. These windows were previously removed, but the next update will complete this area and initiate the dome rework, which will be entirely rebuilt.

To-Do list:
- finishing Engineering Platform underside
- rebuilding domes beneath the towers
- refining towers to SE2 standards
- adding more details with future blocks
- improving overall aesthetics to better match the original version
- recreating most of the interior

Inside & Future Plans:
In Space Engineers 1, I was always a bit disappointed that I could never fully finish Sevastopol Station due to the physical shape limit.
With SE2’s new engine and building system, I now have the opportunity to complete it.

Originally, my Sevastopol was never intended to be a direct replica of the one in Alien: Isolation, as I incorporated many of my own design choices. However, this has changed. I now plan to rework much of it to closely resemble the original look.
This also applies to the interior—while I won't be able to recreate it perfectly, I aim to capture its charm and atmosphere. With more available blocks and a higher PCU limit (in the future), I plan to recreate approximately 90% of the interior, ensuring that rooms are positioned in their correct towers.

That being said, this is a long-term project. As of today, SE2 is still new and lacks many blocks. The station will evolve alongside the game's development. It may take years to fully complete, but I’m highly motivated to finish what I once started.

Think you might want to look into these hallway designs i made, could be used within your station build too, or at least for some inspiration i guess.

Id love to get a narcissus but the windows are just too big. I'm thinking about using them anyway but covering them up partially in order to get thr look right.

Looking good, would love to see it in scale 1:1, So my SE1 Nostromo could dock to it, either by docking port or by "docking arm" for hauling the station to somewhere else.

Currently i just started rebuilding Narcissus (life boat) for SE2.
Will add Nostromo to SE2 when more blocks and functions are available.
