Description
OPERATION SWIFT TIDE
⭐⭐⭐

Mediterranean Sea, Off the Coast of Libya
JUNE 26, 1985 LOCAL TIME ZULU 0530

Mission briefing
Tensions have escalated in the central Mediterranean as Iran-backed Libyan naval forces threaten vital humanitarian operations. A convoy carrying critical aid is en route from Malta to Benghazi, and its safe passage is paramount. The USS Enterprise (CVN-65), along with its battlegroup, has been tasked with securing the corridor and ensuring the convoy reaches its destination unscathed.

Intel reports indicate that Iranian proxies are mobilizing in Libyan waters, with potential air and naval assets prepared to intercept and disrupt the mission. In addition, satellite reconnaissance from MEDCOM has identified Admiral Al-Farjani setting sail toward the convoy.

📡 Command has issued a direct ⚠️ hunt-and-kill order — Al-Farjani must be neutralized before he poses a threat.

🎯 Mission Objectives
✅ Escort the humanitarian convoy to Benghazi.
✅ Protect the USS Enterprise at all costs.
✅ Do not lose more than one ship from the convoy.
✅ Locate and eliminate Al-Farjani before it can engage.

⚠️ Threat Assessment
🔴 The enemy is well-armed and emboldened by Iranian support.
🚀 Expect air and naval resistance throughout the operation.
⚓ The success of this mission will determine the safety of hundreds in need

Failure is not an option. Good Luck Commander.

Hey Pax, the missions in your collection look great! I'm always happy to see creation done without mods. Should they be played in any particular order?

I have something in mind for that just waiting for refueling ops to be released :wowshehe:

very fun mission! Could use a hard mode version with no electronic warfare and less air launched harpoons

I rolled out a few updates to this to mainly optimize the AI usage of planes. AI will now have enough CAP capabilities to cover its assets for almost the entirety of the mission. You can prevent that with a new addition of a Virginia-class land strike capable ship in your carrier strike group and more F-14s in your arsenal ready to roll from minute 0. Also, the objective is again closer than it was before, so this mission will take even less time to finish. I also removed some useless enemy bases in the South and added updated SAM capabilities to the remaining AI enemy bases so they can effectively try to defend the small port and the airbase. Again, playing this without any other mods active is always recommended, and for any issues let me know! Happy sinking and merry Christmas everyone.

If you are talking about the version compatibility warning you can safely ignore that.

Pretty fun, your attention is required all over in multiple waves. Loved that surprise 2nd wave from the SE. Finally had a chance to try A-7s, very limited success with agm-62.

As I mentioned in the past is only a matter of balancing having so much assets in the air can prove to be a bit too easy. I want the player to be focused on tasks in priority => I have X assets and have to do Y actions, what should I do first? You have to consider that atm there is no true AI but the enemy planes just work in a way that follows a series of instructions programmatically. Not to mention the time it would take for them to land/get back to CV.
