How to build an apartment in The Sims 2

1. First, you should build an empty residential lot



2. You should build residential premises completely, with all the furniture, elevators, as you wish.
The main condition is to install the entrance door "Unique Separator"



3. Press Ctrl+Shift+C on the external console and enter the command:

changeLotZoning apartmentbase

4. . Done. The mailbox has been changed to an apartment one, you can move in.



If for some reason the apartment cannot be created (An error appears after entering the command), then the problem is in the apartment layout. There should be no other entrances except the door "Unique Separator".

To change the type of the lot from apartments back to residential, you need to enter in the console:

changeLotZoning residential

Also, in the construction of apartments, a code may be needed to change the maximum number of floors:

SetHighestAllowedLevel 9

Where 9 is the number of floors needed. But you shouldn't overdo it, the game has a limit on the number of walls, and a limit on the height of the camera. You won't be able to build a skyscraper, unfortunately.
