-Against Hell:
The Hell Defense

Stopping the armies of hell, one monster at a time

Why Go Against Hell?
Because this is a battle for the soul of earth! For the sake of all that is holy (and fun… and hopefully good) we ask you to join us, help us and become a Hell Defender in our quest to stop the tides of madness, sent directly from the gates of hell!

Of course you probably want to know more about what’s going on before going “Against Hell” (See what we did there?!). Well, this is a tower defense game as evidenced in the screens and art around this page. What isn’t too obvious is how we plan to stop the creatures that are coming from hell. First of all, the first line of defense is on the PCs, so prepare your mouse and keyboard. Then there is this 3D strategic, Unreal powered game behind the “Against Hell” project that will bring about the forces of heaven in our aid. The heavenly forces are the only ones that can aid us against the hordes of vampires, werewolves and other monsters. These creatures are not just romantic or mythical characters from stories. They are very real demons that mostly reside in hell but when hell comes to earth, there is no telling what may happen. Thankfully just like their own legends, the methods of disposing these beasts are also true. That means salt, silver and other classic monster weapons are the key (Alongside your help and support of course).

Is there a Story?
The explanation for this invasion is pretty simple: There are 6 demon lords who have always dreamed about entering our world. So far, they have not been unable to get past the very gates of hell. Enter Lucifer, who has assembled a terrifyingly vast army of monsters, ready to do his destructive bidding. They have reached the gates of hell and are ready to break into realm of men. Thankfully, the warriors of light have descended from heavens to stop the forces of darkness. It seems that during this overlong battle, Lucifer’s army has managed to breach some gates. They are a select group sent after 7 seals of light. See, those things are the reason why a Demon lord couldn’t just open a portal on earth. The forward group (Consisting of mostly vampires and werewolves) wants to target these holy seals.

Since the forces of light are already engulfed in a deadly and brutal war, the 7 seals are pretty much defenseless. In order to protect them from the rush of monsters, a string of blessed towers are sent directly from the heavens. They have to slow the armies of hell down before they mange to destroy the seals and open the portals of hell into our world. This will take players / defenders through unique maps and locations where they devise their own plans and strategies to defend the fragile seals.

How Does Hell Play?
Like any proper “Tower Defense” game, the most important of aspect of “Against Hell” is its tower selection. Not only they benefit from vastly unique appearances that change over time, they also use the mythological weakness of monster in order to defeat them. That includes fabled elements like holy water and silver bullets to hurt various enemies. Each of them affects different enemies in various ways. A tower that shoots salt can quickly stop flying imps while single shot of a silver bullet can pierce throw many werewolves with absolute ease. To make things more interesting, pretty much any ground based enemy can be easily trapped thanks the all powerful hand of Devil’s Trap. Finally, if all else fails, we can always rely on power of prayer and light bombs.

Of course, before one can use these arcane towers, the Hell Defender (That would be you!) needs to place them on the ground. The maps are a combination of free areas where you can create your personal mazes and some places with obstacles, unique tiles and even secret features. We have also tried to avoid the clichéd, drag-n-drop system of tower placement in favor of a more immediate radial menu. When player touches the ground, multiple options instantly appear around the selected tile. There is also some heavenly light from above that that visually and thematically helps their decision. In a crushing twist, the mere drop of towers from heavens can damage enemies. In other words, players can enjoy a whole new set of strategies based on timely purchase of towers just when enemies are near. Since each type of demon has his or her unique behavior, sometimes dropping of a single tower is the best strategy to stop them. In the end, there will be a ton of active, passive, obvious and secret methods to fight the monsters. The question is, are you prepared for this?

we started these two at the same time, but along the way against hell got pushed aside because of the great scope of go kinok go.

im afraid this project has been put on hold at the moment, we love to release our games but we dont want our names tainted by being the people behind an unfinished game.
as much as we loved against hell, but its not going to be released anytime soon.
we are deeply sorry.
however, we are currently getting paperworks done for our other project. that should be in order in a few weeks.

Really? This piece of drek got Greenlit? Heh...well I suppose if they make trading cards I can recoop some of the fifty cents I squandered on this game. At least Ancestory looks like it's got potential...
