Hello Everyone!!

The Great Revision became a Series!

After the release of the main mod TGR, we received a lot of feedback from the community, so we decided to create a "Series" taking all the features present in The Great Revision, and split in several mini-mod, to allow the players to decide themself which feature apply in full freedom!

EPISODE 9 - COLONIAL RESETTLEMENT

hello everyone guys!
Today i have news about a new feature from TGR: "Colonial Resettlement"!

This small but usefull mod will help you to colonize your new territories. if you remember, from the "Better politics" mod, i introduced a new decree named "Heavy Greener Grass Campaign". I decide to rework completely this decree to transform in something more useful!

Now you have both the decrees available instead of only one based on the law enacted, but the new one "Colonial Resettlement" now will be available only for the unincorporated territories.

Once you set the decree on the choosen territory, an event will trigger every 6 months, which will give you the opportunity to move a % of pops (specifically 1%) from any incorporated state of your Nation.

This will help you during your gameplay, allowing you to move pops in specific states that you want develop.

I'll check the code, but in theory every non-primary culure should get hit by the event. Thanks for the feedback :)

Hello nice mod, it would be cool if the Colonial Resettlement event only affected cultures with t1 to t3 acceptance, for example if i put this decree in new mexico native americans pops should get hit but not mexicans(or in some cases even migrants from europe are also hit in the event)

Although Colonial segregation inst very historical it was fun for some alternate history/fantasy mod playthoughs though I won't lie.

I partially agree with you. The second decree should represent that scenario where Countries like Italy started a campaign to exploit the new colonies, segregating the local pops in specific ghetto.
I think there would be space for further improvement. If i find some new solutions, i'll rework this second decree :)

This would be good, but concerning the second policy you've added:
What I think people like me would prefer would be if it forced pops out of higher paying employment such as capitalists and clerks... and if it affected population at all, it would be through forcing emigration to neighbouring states.

Just having them disappear is not really helpful and ahistorical.

It's very strange because the code specifically take pops only from your States.

This mod was pulling Bedouin pops from the nation of Tripoli when playing as Bedouin Funj.

Tripoli being a subject of the ottomans. Not me

Playing the Alternate history mod "Beyond Rice and salt" but I don't believe it should affect anything this mod implements.

No, you can pull people only from your incorporated states to your unincorporated states, not from other nations

Yes I was looking for a long time some tweak to create this because i noticed that i had difficulties to hire people in unincorporated states, and i wanted more control.
Your mod gave me the right driver to make it happen. :)
