Description
With the Panama and Suez canals sucured for now by NATO forces, the Warsaw Pact has been struggling with overseas logistics since the start of the war. Old maritime shipping routes crossing cape horn and cape good hope have seen a lot of recent soviet activity despite fierce NATO resistance and control over key strategic locations, namely Cape Town and the Falklands.
Argentina is still in an state of turmoil since the end of the war in 1983 and the government has been pressured into a treaty with the Soviet Union to use some of their airbases and ports for refueling, which makes us believe that a soviet attack is imminent.
Falklands state:
The islands have received reinforcements from NATO since the start of the war. Our defenses consist of:
-Airbase
-multiple Radar/SAM Stations and coastal fortifications
-2x M1A1 Abrams platoons, 1xM163A1 platoon and 2xAH-1Z for strategic deployment.
Enemy Forces:
Unknown
Friendly Naval Forces:
-HMS Amazon SF: 3x Type 42 Sheffield-class, 1x Type 23 Duke-class, 2x Type 21 Amazon-class
-1x C-class
Mission Objectives:
Primary Objectives:
-In case of an amphibious landing, all enemy ground forces must be destroyed
Secondary Objectives:
-Damage or sink any enemy naval forces present near the islands
Operational Considerations:
-In case of an attack, prioritize your objectives and targets: Falklands airbase is small and take off and landing operations are very limited.
1- incoming air units
2-ground forces
3-naval forces.

Additional considerations (SPOILERS):
- The start of the mission is designed in order to overwhelm the defensive capabilities of the NW side of the island, you aren't doing anything wrong.
-As far as I know, we don't have tools to change airbases planes yet, so there are more aircraft than I'd like for this particular mission.
-there are no IFV's in either side because soviets don't have any in the game yet. Balancing reasons.
-I know it's cheesy that the soviets manage to land undetected despite all the defenses present on the island, but again, as far as I know, there is no way to use a trigger to create units on the map once a certain condition is met...maybe in the future
