How to play the Age of Mythology campaign in coop.

Getting the Coop Campaign Mod

To install the Coop Campaign mod, navigate to the Mods / Browse Mods page in-game.
Then, either search for "coop campaign", or sort mods with the Campaign tag by most downloads to find the mod:

With the Coop Campaign mod selected, click the Install button.

Playing a Level in Coop

To host one of the coop campaign levels, open the Multiplayer menu in-game, then click the Host button.

When prompted, set the Game Mode to Custom Scenario and choose the desired level (all levels will begin with "coop-campaign\"). Then click the Host button.

Once in the lobby, invite your friend, select a difficulty, and ready up. No other settings need to be changed.

Make sure you and your friend have the same language. We struggled a lot of time with synchronization errors, and it was just because I had Mexican Spanish and my friend had Spain Spanish, we switched to English and it works now!

Firist, thank you very much for this answome mod! I just have trouble with the last mission we cannot launch the game (crash). Any idea? (no others mods installed except for the original voice mod)

We always get desynced in the first 30 seconds every time. We are playing from the same network, so I dont really get the problem. Any advice?

Do you know if there are any issues with playing from the Xbox app via Game Pass instead of Steam? I've tried several times to play, and I keep getting a desync error during the cutscenes. :(

Fair enough, might be worth a run with friends once I get the achievements done

Correct, you won't get the campaign progression achievements when playing in co-op.

You do still get the other achievements though.
