Description

Set in a post-apocolyptic era, RP_LR_Refuge_v1 captures the immersive style found in the popular 'Metro' video games and books, then puts it into one gigantic map.

Metro is a linear shooter that takes place in the Post-Apocalyptic Metro System of Moscow, following the events long after the devastating World War III.

Ambient Sounds. You'll hear random screams in the tunnels, the screeching of metal, the tapping of four legs on the cold metal tracks and so much more - a truley terrifying experience!
The map is huge and features several stations - more than enough for a roleplay server and definitely enough for factions to flourish.
Custom ported assets. We used textures and models direct from the Metro video games to create a truley authentic feel.
The main station has attention to detail. The main gate has it's very own FX, a red light and warning sound will emit when the door is opening and closing (along with the defeaning screech of grinding rusted metal!) - the gate itself can only be opened from the control panel room which leaves room for roleplay servers to hire station guards.

The main station also features a bar, market, guards armoury, shack housing, gated entrance to the surface, public rally/speach area and a farm.

If you plan on using this map for your server, please be sure to give proper credits to Last Refuge along with linking the website (http://www.last-refuge.com/).
If you plan to noclip outside of the map, be careful on lower-end computers because your FPS will significantly dip. This map is huge, rendering it all in one is not a good idea.
Requires CounterStrike: Source content, may also require Half Life 2: Episode 2 content.

Hey. I would like to use your map for the server, but redo it slightly and add a surface. Can I do this and can give materials and models? Which of you 3 should write about this? When you load your card in Steam, I can specify your authorship.

In the book for metro 2033 there was a mension of "Tunnel Fear".. You can only see 5 metres infront of you. After that it's just Thick, unpenetrable Darkness. Anything could lie beyond those 5 metres, ready to jump at you. You check your back every 5 seconds. but only for a moment. you're too scared that in this time something jumps at your back. But when you look forward again there's this feeling of something lurking behind you. you try to ignore it but you look again. nothing. you start to walk faster. your walk turns into a run. your run into a frantic sprint. your heart pounding, hoping for the sweet light of the big floodlights at the entrance to a populated station.There is still nothing behind or infront of you. just darkness. but you still fell doom chasing after you, determinded to rip you appart. Finnaly you come across to a small station but at this point it's to late. you have already succumb to the darkness. your mind is broken. you will never be the same.
