Introduction
Throne of Thorns is a mini-game where you can choose a hero, create your own build, and pass echelons.

Initially it may seem difficult, but the first 4 echelons are easy to pass once you understand how to play.

Heroes
There are three heroes in total and each has a starting ability and passive

1) Dragonus - Has the Arcane Bolt starting ability and passive:
"Dragonus has less health, but fires extra projectiles with all of his
ㅤ abilities."


2) Shen - has the Magic Missile starting ability and passive:
“Shen's magic damage reduces physical resistance in enemies.”

3) Kez - Has the starting ability Echo Slash and the passive:
“Kez has extra movement speed and periodically tags the most
ㅤ strongest nearby enemies, causing the next physical attack to deal
ㅤ critical damage.”
Echelons(Levels)
Echelons are levels, there are 7 of them in total, and with each level it becomes more and more difficult to repel waves of monsters, but there are rewards for clearing them.

Bosses
There are also bosses in this game, there are a total of five bosses in the mini-game, including the final boss, and there can be four in one game, the first three are spawned randomly
The first three bosses drop aganim, which are needed to improve abilities.

The final boss is Empire, which can be defeated (or attempted) after 12 (13 starting from the 6th legion) minutes of farming and pumping.

In the mini-game, bosses are marked as side quest and are marked on the mini-map


Over 5 echelons and a bunch of tries, I've categorized the bosses by difficulty relative to the echelons

The Granite Legion - The easiest boss on all echelons, has three stages:
Stage 1 - he is single and large
Stage 2 - he splits into 3 smaller cheliks.
Stage 3 - 3 cheliks are divided into microcheliks that are fast and if they slow you down, they can bite you to death.


The Evershade- An easy boss, but at 4th echelon if you don't have speed or yasha he will easily catch up to you on stage 2 and even more so on stage 3
The boss has 3 stages in which he revives and speeds up twice


The Wailing Mass is the easiest boss on echelon 1-4
Its peculiarity is that it gets bigger as it passes over monsters, and if you don't have enough damage on the 5th-7th echelon, it can become a problem for you, as there will be a lot of monsters around you and it will crush you instantly.


The Cinderguard- the most difficult boss, when summoned he puts 5 illusions that shoot the player with fireballs, and you have to find and kill him 5 times through piles of monsters
Upgrade (Character Enhancement)
If you pass a level, you get gold for it, which increases when you defeat the final boss and is given even if you lose the level
Gold is needed to pump up the characteristics that apply to all characters
Initially you only need gold for some characteristics, but for further improvements you will need tokens.
Without their pumping you will not be able to pass the 5-6 echelon, or at least you 100% have to take the item on the speed of movement, as the monsters will become faster
I for example with such pumping already opened the 6th echelon
Magical abilities
For convenience, I will separate the abilities into physical and magical damage
IMPORTANT
The damage of all heroes is different at level 1, so somewhere there may be errors of 1-5%

Tips, Tricks and Bugs
This section needs information that I have little of

Tips and Tricks
  • If you initially get bad abilities and items, and you spend rolls, it's better to restart the run.
  • A tank build can look like this - Axe's spin, Spirits, and Centaur's ultimate, with items like Battle Fury, Heart, and Aghanim first on Axe, then on Spirits. The idea is to use Centaur's ultimate to charge into enemies and spin infinitely.
Bugs

If you type the command
host_timescale 1
in the console and replace 1 with a desired value from 0.1 to 9, the time in the mini-game will speed up or slow down accordingly, allowing you to skip the first few minutes of farming and see which of the first bosses you encountered, or easily dodge the Empire's ultimate.
Patches
Patch 1.1 from 20.11.24:

Items
Octarine Core: Cooldown reduction decreased from 6% to 5% per level.
Timeless Relic: Maximum level reduced from 3 to 2.

Abilities
Land Mine:
  • Cooldown reduced from 5 to 4 seconds.
  • Reworked Aghanim's Scepter: cooldown reduced by 20%. You now have the ability to place static traps (deal less damage, stun) and remote mines (deal more damage, no trigger time required).

Knife Throw:
  • Recharge time reduced by 0.3 seconds at odd levels. (Cooldown at maximum level is 0)
  • 1 additional pierce at levels 3 and 5.
  • Reworked Aghanim - Knives now have an infinite number of pierces.

Counter Helix:
  • Aghanim's change - Cooldown increased from 0.05 to 0.15 seconds.
  • Base damage increased from 20 to 25.
  • Damage scaling per level increased from 10 to 15.

Mortimer's Kisses:
  • Base damage increased from 5 to 6.
  • Damage scaling per level increased from 3 to 4.

Frostbite:
  • Base number of targets increased from 1 to 2.
  • Increase in the number of targets at levels 2 and 6 increased from 1 to 2.

Magic Missile: Aghanim's change - Damage dealt per kill reduced from 0.04 to 0.035.

Spirits: Reworked Aghanim - now spirits explode on impact.

Innate ability of Vengeful Spirit: Physical damage resistance reduction increased from 20% to 30%.
