Kleinfurt2023 (Fiktiv)

The VDL is currently causing problems on the map. All VDL buses are affected. There are faulty collisions, especially in the city centre area. This is explicitly NOT a fault of the map - but (according to my observations) a collision problem of the bus. All other buses are not affected by this! Incidentally, the error can also be reproduced on the Berlin map, although there (for whatever reason) it occurs less frequently and is usually less extreme.






Kleinfurt is a fictional German city. The KNB (Kleinfurt Nahverkehrsbetriebe) operates public transportation in and around Kleinfurt. The map is the successor to the (currently paused and) originally built map Kleinfurt 2009 for the LOTUS simulator.

In The Bus the map is set in the year 2023 and therefore has some (intentional) changes compared to the original map. Various inner-city bus routes can be used, each with a length of 10 - 40 minutes:

Version 1.1 adds some new tram replacement lines. Due to rising operating costs, the KNB was forced to temporarily operate some of its tram lines with buses to save operating costs. Tram lines 7, 8 and 9 therefore run as buses from 21:00 to 01:00 on Fridays and on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays in the mornings and evenings.








Depot:
Lines 7, 7N, 9E, 9N, 32, 35 and 76E start in the morning with individual journeys at the depot and run as a public line to the starting stop. For the normal route, please select the correct start stop ingame (e.g. Walter-Gropius-Platz instead of the depot)!
In the evening, the lines change to line E as the last journey and return to the depot as a public return journey.

With the latest update, the map has now been significantly enlarged. In addition to difficult lines that run through many narrow streets, there are now also new lines that run mainly along main roads and are therefore much more “relaxed” to drive ;).

Known bugs:
-Grass does not currently disappear in winter
-The Scania Citywide 11m collides with invisible walls in various places (this has only been observed with this bus type so far)
-Cars occasionally turn into the pedestrian zone
